Types of Under Cabinet Lighting

When it comes to adding lighting underneath your cabinets or shelves there are a variety of different light fixtures which you can use. In most cases our recommendation is a bendable strip light, particularly a strip kit. However there will be edge cases or personal preferences that drive you to pick one fixture type as opposed to another.

Under cabinet LED lighting kits offer the most simple, out-of-the-box option to make installation a breeze. This is by far the simplest option. You’ll get everything you need to upgrade and brighten your space, including the 3M adhesive-backed bendable led strips, the appropriate power supply and wiring, connectors and adaptors, and more.

LED Strip Lights for Custom Installations

If you have a longer run of cabinets (more than 16 feet), unusual wiring/power situations, or obstacles on the surface underneath your cabinets, a kit may not be the right solution.
