  • WARNING: Do not install a 12 Volt LED light bulb into a standard residential 120 VAC socket as this will cause a short and burn out socket and bulb.

This off-grid/RV LED filament bulb is perfect for ornamental lights, decorative light strands, RV interior lighting, boat cabin lighting, or for any decorative 12-volt application that accepts A19 globe bulb types with E26/E27 bases. The bulb's low current draw also makes it ideal for off-grid living and renewable energy applications such as hydro and solar powered lights. Using 8 linear COB (chips-on-board) LEDs, the A19 bulb emits up to 490 lumens of warm or ultra warm white illumination. The LED light consumes just 6 watts of power; an incandescent bulb with comparable light output would use 40 watts. This bulb has 12V AC/DC operation and is designed to last 25 times longer than incandescent bulbs. Price per bulb.

Important Notes - Please read before purchasing:
  1. WARNING: Do not install a 12 Volt LED light bulb into a standard residential 120 VAC socket as this will cause a short and burn out socket and bulb.

Ordered this bulb to retrofit an old chandlelier for use in an RV (had to be done, we'll deal with the obvious potential problems later :) ). This bulb was perfect for this use because it is as 12VDC filament LED in a standard A19 (ordinary 120VAC household-type) base. So the fixture didn't need to be modified in any way other than that I had to figure out which wire was the positive (tip) terminal.

The build quality is very high, and the brightness is surprising given the low wattage.

I keep trying to attach a < 1MByte photo of the lit bulb in the chandelier but the website won't let me. (Super Bright LEDs, if you contact me via email I'd be happy to send the photo to you and you can post it!).

I would love to see a candelabra (mini) style bulb of this DC filament design!!

Will definitely be purchasing more of these for other projects.

Burned out

I purchased this product for off grid use. I tested this lights prior to heading out on a trip where I would be dependent on them for lighting. I hooked them up to a 12vdc battery and the results were not positive. There was a delay in starting, OK no problem. 1 bulb showed up dead on arrival, 1 had a dead filament, and 4 burned out over night. The battery was a stand alone system with no other connections except the lights. I am attributing this to poor construction. The ones that worked briefly were nice and bright.

I have multiple 120vac of these bulbs and have had little issues with them. I have already contacted Super Bright LED Inc about this, now lets see what they will do to address this matter. I like the lights and hope that we just got a bad batch. This is a true accounting of there performance and if addressed I will update my review.

This lamp gives off a very nice warm glow that closely mimics classic Edison-era tungsten bulbs, but with the ease and efficiency of modern LED technology! Since it's able to handle AC current, it doesn't matter the polarity of which way you wire things up! And since it runs off of 12v, it's very easy to provide enough power without needing to convert voltages down from 110v/120v.

Fantastic Find

I'm in Australia, and searched everywhere for a 12v LED classic style globe for my outside light.
The light fixture was setup for 240v, but with using a transformer and 12v wiring, these globes worked perfectly. Having a A/C-D/C voltage capability, wiring was a breeze and the light the globes throw off are fantastic. I have a sensor setup for the light to stay on all night and with these globes it doesn't use much energy at all.

Close to the Real Thing

I was looking for a 12 vdc led replacement for a couple of incandescent bulbs to use aboard our boat. I would rate it similar to a 30-40 watt incandescent rather than 50, but I was looking something around 25 watts anyway. I think this is as close as you're going to get to a normal light bulb at the moment. It's a soft yellowish light, but not far off from the real thing. It's not bad.
