Description

The 2-inch 940nm off-road infrared LED light pod is a compact and powerful vehicle light that provides increased visibility for night vision optics. The stealth 940nm pod light is available with either a 10-degree spot beam pattern for long-range visibility or a 60-degree flood beam pattern for area lighting. An integrated DT connector allows for easy installation. Construction is durable die-cast aluminum housing with a polycarbonate lens. The IP69K and IP67 waterproof ratings allow permanent mounting on various vehicles, ATVs, and UTVs for discreet off-road light applications.

940nm IR lights are virtually invisible to the human eye, making them ideal illumination for stealth applications such as security and observing wary wildlife. Compared to 850nm IR lights, the 940nm wavelength produces a significantly reduced red glow when observed by the naked eye. When used with night vision optics, a 940nm IR light appears slightly more violet in hue with a negligible decrease in image quality and range.

Combo Beams Combo vehicle lights are a combination of a spot light and a flood light that are always on simultaneously. This allows for the light to cover both short and long distances at the same time for a variety of tasks. Selectable Multibeams Selectable multibeams contain both a spot light and a flood light. With this, you gain the ability to have either the spot light or the flood light, or both on at the same time. Selectable multi-beams are extremely versatile in that you get three beam patterns in a single light. However it does require additional wiring to operate both beams independently through either multiple rocker switches, or a momentary switch. Combo + Side Shooters Side shooters illuminate a full 180 degrees or more through the use of a combo beam vehicle light. Side shooters contain an extra row of vertically or horizontally stacked and angled LED lights. This row is what gives the side shooter the ability to expand beyond a normal flood light's field of view. Side shooters are best used while stationary or at very low speeds where the field of view is critical.
