This is thanks largely in part to our test lab, where our trained lighting technicians thoroughly test our products to ensure that they meet our rigorous standards and the specifications set by the manufacturer.
What Do We Test For In Our Test Lab?
In our test lab, our technicians put each product through a series of tests to measure its exact specifications and overall quality. Our state-of-the-art equipment can measure a light’s beam angle, color temperature, lumen output, CRI, wattage, and more. Each product is also put through tests to make sure it can withstand the environments and scenarios that they are designed for. For example, we test to see how well our lights hold up under intense temperatures and extended run times.
What Type of Products Do We Test?
Over the past 20 years, we have tested a wide variety of lights across the industrial, commercial, vehicle, residential, and landscape lighting industries. We also test lighting accessories, such as controllers, mounting brackets, socket adapters, and power supplies. Each and every product, from miniature LED bulbs to high-performance stadium lights, gets the same treatment and our full dedication.
Why Is It Important That We Test Our Products, and How Does That Benefit Our Customers?
Since LED lights are very popular right now, there are a lot of manufacturers producing them. However, not all manufacturers actually test their products to make sure they are accurate with their specifications. In our test lab, we verify that all the details about our lights are correct. This ensures that you get products with the exact specifications that you need. Our rigorous testing also ensures that we only sell the best quality lighting products. Any product that fails to meet our standards is rejected or refined.
Has There Ever Been an Instance Where Products Had to Be Redesigned Based on the Test Lab’s Findings?
Yes! On various occasions, we have found that products do not meet the specifications listed by the manufacturer. For example, we have had products fail water tests, get too hot, or quit working during our testing. In these instances, we take the product apart and look for the point of failure. Then we discuss it with the manufacturer and come up with a solution.
What Do We Do if the Product Doesn’t Meet Our Standards?
At Super Bright LEDs, we strive to sell only quality products. If a product doesn't meet our standards, we'll do one of two things. We'll either reject it and not offer that product, or we'll talk to the manufacturer and come up with solutions to improve the product.
