Overview

The KLUS® TAMI Series LED strip channel offers a professional mounting solution for surface or flush mounting LED strip lights up to 12mm wide. The low-profile (7mm deep) extruded aluminum channel comes in a 1m (3.3 ft) length and can reach a waterproof rating for wet areas when installed with a cover, end caps, and neutral silicone sealant (see accessories). Surface Mount Aluminum LED Profile Housing - TAMI

LED Profiles add an aesthetic fixture for LED Flexible Light Strips that have no exterior finishings. Aluminum surface, flush, and corner mount extrusions are available to fit your application. All aluminum extrusions use a diffused lens cover. The combination of light strips/bars, aluminum extrusions and lens allows for a wide variety of secure and aesthetically pleasing lights. Check out the application photos above to see a couple practical uses with these profiles.

The surface, flush, and corner mounts use different types of end caps. The end caps are offered with and without hole for wiring. Use mounting brackets to attach the fixtures to a surface or use our 3M-FTS double-sided foam tape. Create a fixture that may be used for shelving, furniture compartments, glass elements, walls, exhibitor stands, grooves, stair railways, stair steps, ceilings, and tiles to name only a few!

Product Characteristics

The extrusion made from high quality aluminum (also available in a double-anodized version) is designed for flexible LED strips that are up to 12mm wide. LEDs can be hidden behind a special diffused cover made of polypropylene. Standard polypropylene end caps and mounting brackets (made from steel, zinc or chrome finish) are used for the extrusion as supplementary accessories. End caps protect the extrusion from dust and other undesirable elements, which can make LED strips dirty and consequently deteriorate the lighting parameters. The extrusion can be mounted to surfaces with the use of double sided adhesive tape or mounting brackets. The mounting bracket guarantees easy and secure mounting of the extrusion to a desired surface. It can also work as connector between the two extrusions.

Applications

The extrusion with the LED light source is mostly used as interior lighting, especially to light cabinets, stairs, glass cases, or as a decoration light for a niche in drywall ceilings.
