Benefits of Low-Voltage Landscape Power Supplies

Low-voltage landscape power supplies offer numerous advantages to your outdoor lighting systems. These devices efficiently convert high-voltage 120 VAC input into low-voltage outputs ranging from 12 VAC to 22 VAC. This allows you to safely power low-voltage landscape lights such as outdoor flood lights, spot lights, well lights, path lights, hardscape lights, deck and step lights, and underwater lights. When paired with energy-efficient low-voltage lighting, these landscape power supplies consume less energy, helping to reduce your energy bills. Additionally, they require minimal maintenance, making them a convenient and cost-effective choice for long-term use.

Support for Longer Runs

As voltage decreases through a run of wire and lights, each subsequent light receives less voltage, making them appear dimmer toward the end. However, with multi-tap output options available, your low-voltage landscape power supplies can support longer landscape lighting runs. You can compensate for the expected voltage drop over longer runs to ensure that lights at the far end receive adequate voltage by selecting a higher output voltage tap. Various multi-tap options are available depending on the estimated length of your light runs.

When choosing a power supply, it's also crucial to avoid overpowering the system. To prevent overloading, do not exceed 80% of the power supply’s capacity. Multiply the light's total wattage by 1.2 to determine which power supply you need. We carry transformers in a wide range of output power options to meet your landscaping needs.

Durable Against the Elements

High-quality landscape transformers are designed to withstand harsh outdoor conditions. Super Bright LEDs carries stainless steel and heavy-duty plastic low-voltage power supplies that offer robust durability and corrosion resistance. These power supplies are also waterproof and weatherproof, preventing rain and snow from entering the interior of your system. Backed with industry-leading warranties, we guarantee that our outdoor power supplies are built to last.

Optimized Performance

Enhance your outdoor lighting system with timer and photocell options. These features make using your lighting system as efficient and seamless as possible. Dusk-to-dawn photocells automatically turn your lighting system on and off based on ambient light levels. This automated control ensures your lights are on only when needed, helping to reduce energy waste and energy costs. Integrated timers allow you to control your lights at predetermined times of day, eliminating the need for manual operation. Our range of landscape transformers includes options with integrated or optional timers and photocells, allowing you to choose which is best for your outdoor lighting system.

Transformer Options

Low-voltage landscape power supplies come in various sizes to accommodate different outdoor lighting projects.

For larger lighting setups, our stainless steel transformers are designed to handle more light fixtures and can provide ample power for extensive landscape lighting designs. Their stainless steel construction makes them durable and built to withstand various outdoor elements.

Smaller power supplies are available for outdoor systems requiring less power. These transformers have the added benefit of being easier to conceal within your landscape and blend into the background. Compact transformers are a popular option for shorter lighting runs.
