Overview
The MaxLite 80W LED High Bay Retrofit Bulb is a long-lasting and low-maintenance upgrade for existing high bay fixtures. The 5000K cool white bulb delivers 10,800 lumens and can replace a 250W metal halide lamp. The EX39 base allows the bulb to be retrofitted to existing fixtures, making installation quick and simple. The Type-B ballast bypass bulb is powered directly by the line voltage supplied to the fixture and rated for use in enclosed fixtures. It is ideal for use in gymnasiums, warehouses, and other commercial facilities.

Comparing two 40 watt lights one with a beam angle of 30(a) and another with a beam angle of 90(b), They both produce the same amount of light output but (a) will appear brighter in the beam angle compared to (b) at the sacrifice of light spread.
