What Are LED Beacon Strobe Lights?

Beacon strobe lights are high-visibility warning lights, designed to alert drivers and pedestrians to the presence of utility trucks, warehouse equipment, tractors, construction machinery, and other safety vehicles. They emit bright energy-efficient LEDs, producing flashing or rotating warning patterns. Our LED beacons strobes come in various flash patterns, sizes, and voltages to work in a wide range of applications.

Where Are Strobe Beacons Commonly Used?

The LED strobe beacons are adaptable to be installed on various vehicles, including but not limited to:

  • Farm Equipment (tractors, combines, sprayers)

  • Construction Vehicles (dump truck, bulldozers, trailers)

  • Public Safety Vehicles (tow trucks, roadside assistance vehicles, snowplows, volunteer firefighters)

  • Warehouse Equipment (forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks)

  • Utility Vehicles (UTVs, ATVs, side by sides)

What Are the Benefits of Installing Strobe Beacons on My Emergency or Construction Vehicle?

Our strobe beacons provide superior brightness, extreme durability, and up to 90% higher energy efficiency compared to halogen alternatives. With an average 50,000 hour lifespan, they reduce maintenance, resist vibration and shock, and operate without draining vehicle batteries.

Are There Any Regulations About the Installation of LED Strobe Beacons?

Beacon lights are often required on warehouse and construction equipment to meet safety regulations and improve visibility in work zones. Requirements vary by industry, with OSHA often mandating them for hazard mitigation, while DOT regulations generally require amber beacons for oversize loads. Slow-moving equipment operating at speeds under 25mph, like tractors, should utilize beacons when operating on or near roadways.

Regulations vary by state, municipality, and specific site safety policies. Always check local DOT and safety requirements.

What Beacon Size Do I Need?

For most service, construction, and utility vehicles, a 4 to 6-inch diameter LED beacon is standard, while larger vehicles or those requiring extreme visibility may need 6-inch or larger units. If operating in a low clearance environment or utilizing smaller equipment (golf carts, etc.), our low profile beacon lights would be a great fit. Select the correct beacon by considering the size of your installation area and the amount of light coverage/visibility needed. If your vehicle requires a higher level of visibility or must be seen from farther distances, select one of our larger strobe beacons.

How Secure is the Magnetic Mounting?

Our strobe beacons can either be permanently or magnetically mounted. Magnetic mounting is ideal for slow-moving and temporary applications around work and job sites. The magnetic base allows for easy installation and removal, but doesn’t provide the same security as permanent mounting. While our magnetic mount beacons come equipped with high-strength magnets, they should never be utilized at highway speeds.
