Awesome
Installed two of these 13" on the side of my 20 foot enclosed trailer to light up the pit area at the track. I am very impressed. Typical lighting on a race trailer are large recessed halogen lights that need 110 V. These light the whole area like daylight, run off my 12v trailer battery and cost a fraction of the alternative. Cheap, bright light without running the generator. I haven't used them long enough to tell how much battery drain but I would expect it to be minimal being LED.
They are very sturdy construction of cast aluminum not plastic. They also come with perfectly fitting base gaskets. The only thing is they have a cutout on each end to pass the wire through. I drilled a hole and ran the wire through the trailer skin so ended up with an opening on each end. I just put a bit of RTV on to seal up the unused openings.
Impressive light for $15
To be honest, I wasn't expecting this good of a light for $14.95. I am currently building out a high-top Ford Econoline van as a camper and needed a light for under our awning. I was having a hard time finding a good looking "porch" light. Today I mounted this light and I am impressed by both the build quality and light output.
