Overview
CAN Bus LED replacement bulbs can fit vehicle tail lights, brake lights, reverse lights, turn signals, and side marker lights. This 1157 dual-contact, dual-function bulb has 30 LEDs that create a 360° viewing angle for better, allover light emission with reduced hot spots. Error-free LED bulbs are designed to communicate with your vehicle's CAN Bus computer system and prevent error messages. | Lumen meters are a great way to measure white light output but can be deceptive for colored bulb intensity. Lumens measure light wavelengths in all colors of the visible spectrum. Because multiple wavelengths create white light and colored bulbs are a single-wavelength source, colored bulbs will have lower lumen readings. However, they will appear equally as bright as a white bulb. |  |

Who knows?
I got these because they said “CAN Bus”. Received them quick from the vendor. Put them on one side and still got error message on my dash screen. I was super confused. I looked at the bulb and no where does it say the model type, so I could have been sent the wrong bulbs and wouldn’t know it. Which I think happened because the tiny boxes they came in looked partly mishandled, as if someone switched them hastily. Anyway, called vendor and they said they sent the right ones and that “CAN Bus” are not error free on 100% of the cars. I had to order resistors from them in order to work, which was what I was trying to avoid in the first place to avoid messing with cutting wires, etc., hence the “CAN Bus”. Installed them with the resistors and they work fine.
Good improvement
Replaced the incandescent brake/tail light bulb on my Triumph Thunderbird LT with this bulb. Brightness of the LED seems about the same as the incandescent but the LED brake light turns on faster which is the main reason I wanted to upgrade. I needed a CAN bus compatible bulb which this one is.
2014 Fiat 500e
These bulbs are not error-free in this application (2014 Fiat 500e). The bulbs do fit well, however, and are plenty bright for the intended use.
