Product Description
CAN Bus LED replacement bulbs can fit vehicle tail lights, brake lights, reverse lights, turn signals and side marker lights. This 3157 dual-contact, dual-function bulb has 26 LEDs (5050 SMD) that create a 360° viewing angle for better, allover light emission with reduced hot spots. Error-free LED bulbs are designed to communicate with your vehicle's CAN Bus computer system and prevent error messages. Tower-style design with a 16-mm wedge base for easy plug-and-play installation. The energy-efficient bulb has 12V DC operation and is designed to last 30,000 hours on your car, truck, SUV, or van—25 times longer than incandescent bulbs. Available in cool white, amber and red. Not sold in pairs. Price per bulb.

| Lumen meters are a great way to measure white light output but can be deceptive for colored bulb intensity. Lumens measure light wavelengths in all colors of the visible spectrum. Because multiple wavelengths create white light and colored bulbs are a single-wavelength source, colored bulbs will have lower lumen readings. However, they will appear equally as bright as a white bulb. |  |

My front parking lights are now a bright clear amber and when brightened-up, flashing in turn-signal mode, I am more noticeable in traffic. On pure appearance, these look so much nicer when not lit than a big amber colored bulb plugged into these well designed, chromed lamp pods. Learned later that I did not need the CAM BUS feature, but it does not have a negative effect on the electronics of this particular vehicle.

Bright amber light with no amber colored bulb
My front parking lights are now a bright clear amber and when brightened-up, flashing in turn-signal mode, I am more noticeable in traffic. On pure appearance, these look so much nicer when not lit than a big amber colored bulb plugged into these well designed, chromed lamp pods. Learned later that I did not need the CAM BUS feature, but it does not have a negative effect on the electronics of this particular vehicle.

Did not satisfy CAN-BUS requirment for 2012 Ram
Let me start by saying I LOVE SuperBrightLED's products. However, with my 2012 Ram (as with any Ram after 2006) I have a CAN-BUS system. These lights, while rated for CAN-BUS still illuminated the "XXX Bulb Out" message on the DIC as well as had Hyper Flash. They are built well, look great, and worked well, but having an idioit light illuminated on my dash after paying extra didn't seem like an area to settle. They have been returned.

Unfortunately while our bulbs meet the requirements for most Can Bus systems some vehicles are looking for a bit more power draw than our bulbs require.

Almost perfect 5 stars
I was very pleased when I got these since the housing is black and white, reduces that yellow color seen through the lens while off, actually there is zero color of the bulb that is visible so a perfect stealth look. Once on the color is a true amber or orange, no yellow and is bright even in the daylight. These did NOT hyperflash in my 2012 F150. Id give a perfect 5 stars except one failed at 10 months. It was under warranty and I had a new replacement, hassle free, within seven calendar days of sending the old one out from Texas!

Used as backup lights, it's like daylight now
I installed these on my 08 Chev pickup for backup lights. We live in the country so it's pretty dark at night and we have a long driveway. It was very easy to install them. I did have to cut the little bump out just below where the base starts to get wider for them to fit in the socket (could have been a notch in the socket I trimmed back come to think of it) with a pair of side cutters. It fit and worked without the trim but didn't fit in all the way. It did matter the polarity of them so I just put the park brake on and put the truck in reverse without starting to test it. It's like having headlights on the back of the truck now. I can backup without having to apply the brakes for extra light. Works great for hooking up the trailer too.

Bright, but didn't fit harley
I've got a Harley switchback and I bought this to fill the Fender mounted tail light. This thing is bright but it is unfortunately too long. The bulb is just at 0.18" too long to fit in the standard housing. Note the Harley lay down tail light will have even less clearance.
The bulb did satisfy the can bus (Harley refers to it as the body control module) which made me even more upset that it didn't fit. Oh well! If you can use this, do it! It's great

Simply awesome
These were installed into the rear of a 2014 Cruze a couple of months ago and they are super bright !! Very nice difference opposed to stockers. Beware that they will not fit in the two tail lamps on the trunk lid, they are too tall. They fit very well in the other two lights though.
