Product Information
Product Description
LED replacement bulbs can fit vehicle tail lights, brake lights, reverse lights, turn signals or side marker lights. This 3156 single-contact bulb has 36 LEDs (3014 SMD) that create a wide 360° viewing angle for better, allover light emission with reduced hot spots. The LEDs are enclosed in a stock bulb cover for a traditional look. Tower-style design with a 16-mm wedge base for easy plug-and-play installation. The energy-efficient bulb operates within a wide 10-30V DC range and is designed to last 30,000 hours on your car, truck, SUV, or van—25 times longer than incandescent bulbs. Available in cool white, warm white and red. Not sold in pairs. Price per bulb.

All specifications are subject to change without notice. 1. CAN Bus LED bulbs are simple plug-and- play LED bulbs which are made specifically for CAN Bus-equipped vehicles. These bulbs work with your vehicle's advanced computer system, so when your vehicle's computer reads them, they respond back correctly. To see if your vehicle operates with a CAN Bus system, simply remove the bulb you're looking to replace, start your vehicle, and if you have a "Bulb Out" message on your dash you have a CAN Bus system. |
Part NO | CCT / Wavelength CCT / Wavelength ![]() | Brightness Brightness For best results, the LED color should be the same as the lens color. If the bulb is behind a clear lens, use the appropriate color for turn and brake light functions. When installed in a housing that has a matching colored lens, red and amber bulbs will appear brighter than white LED bulbs - even though they have lower lumen outputs. As an example: a red lens will filter out all but the red portion of light from a bulb, so if the light being emitted from the bulb is all red, none or very little light will be blocked by the lens. The light from a white LED bulb contains very little light in the red portion of the visible spectrum, so most of the light that contributes to its higher lumen value would be filtered out by a red lens. This makes the white bulb appear dimmer than the red bulb. ![]() | Beam Angle Beam Angle Beam angle is used to express the width of the light emitting from the source. The narrower the beam angle the more focused the light energy is. Comparing two 40 watt lights one with a beam angle of 30(a) and another with a beam angle of 90(b), They both produce the same amount of light output but (a) will appear brighter in the beam angle compared to (b) at the sacrifice of light spread. ![]() | Price Ea. | Weight | Operating Temperature | |

Lumen meters are a great way to measure white light output but can be deceptive for colored bulb intensity. Lumens measure light wavelengths in all colors of the visible spectrum. Because multiple wavelengths create white light and colored bulbs are a single-wavelength source, colored bulbs will have lower lumen readings. However, they will appear equally as bright as a white bulb. | ![]() |

Garden Path Lighting
Our garden path lighting used 3156 bulbs. I upgraded them to 3156LL bulbs because of the short life span, but even that only provided me with a few months of use before their needing replacement again (and again, and again). Elected to try the 3156-WW3W-G LED bulbs for their warm white color, long life of the LED and the glass covering bulb because although the bulbs are installed in a shielded lamp, they are still exposed to shoveled snow and splashed water. The bulbs went in as if they were original equipment and work perfectly with the low voltage system. Of course, being LED there will be the advantage of less heat generated, and lower amperage draw on the low voltage transformer as well.

Great 3rd Brake Light
I bought this for my 1992 Pontiac Firebird 3rd brake light which is on the hatch. The web site recommended that I get the color of the lens so I ordered red. It looks great. The original bulb was too hot. This appears to be working great. The light is not too bright or too dim but looks good with the other brake and tail lights. You cannot tell from looking that one is an LED and the others are regular tungsten bulbs.
