LED replacement bulbs can fit vehicle tail lights, brake lights, reverse lights, turn signals or side marker lights. This 1157 dual-contact, dual-function bulb has 45 LEDs (3528 SMD) that create a 360° viewing angle for better, allover light emission with reduced hot spots. 1. CAN Bus LED bulbs are simple plug-and- play LED bulbs which are made specifically for CAN Bus-equipped vehicles. These bulbs work with your vehicle's advanced computer system, so when your vehicle's computer reads them, they respond back correctly.
To see if your vehicle operates with a CAN Bus system, simply remove the bulb you're looking to replace, start your vehicle, and if you have a "Bulb Out" message on your dash you have a CAN Bus system.

Beam angle is used to express the width of the light emitting from the source. The narrower the beam angle the more focused the light energy is. Comparing two 40 watt lights one with a beam angle of 30(a) and another with a beam angle of 90(b), They both produce the same amount of light output but (a) will appear brighter in the beam angle compared to (b) at the sacrifice of light spread.

1973 Ferrari Dino stop and tail light bulb
After a couple of inquiries for technical information, I selected the Red 1157-R45-t bulbs. They are much brighter than the original incandescent bulbs and illuminate instantly.
I am very pleased with the product so far and may convert my other vehicles.
There are two important pieces of information that I learned.
Select an LED bulb with 180 lumens or more if you want it to be brighter than stock incandescent it is going to replace.
Select the bulb color that matches the lens of the light otherwise if you use a bright white LED it will shine through and actually wash out the lens color.
Brightest LED Bulbs
I had previously installed a couple of different LED Bulbs for my Suzuki Swift brake/tail lamps with little or no improvement of brightness. Then I came across Superbrightleds website and decided to give the LED Bulbs here a try. They arrived in excellent condition and pretty fast indeed.Guess I made the right choice as the LED Bulbs I purchased are a great improvement. They are really the brightest I have come across and with instant light up adds to safety on the roads. I will soon be switching over to LED Bulbs for most of the bulbs on my vehicle and will purchase from Superbrightleds. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to switch to LEDs that are really bright with added safety.
NO PRICE FOR SAFETY
I was concerned about the taillights on my Shelby Cobra Replica being to dim. Someone recommended LED bulbs, 1157-A45-T in particular. WOW, what a difference!! The lights are twice as bright. I feel more comfortable driving with my family members now with much brighter tail and stop lights. The front turn signals are next. Thanks Superbrights.
I wanted to put clear lenses onto the custom motorcycle with twin miniture brake lights and had been struggling with getting the brightness right.
Several bulb types later I came across these tower LED's and decided to give them a try. They arrived promptly with great packaging.
I also fitted a brake light modulator to make it stand out a little more when appling the brakes.
I fitted the LED's into the sockets, tied a piece of string to the front brake lever, crouched down behind the bike and gave the string a pull.
The intensity of the brightness combined with the high frequency flash from the modulator instantly made my brain scramble itself into a spasm and I lost control of my body and I fell over backwards completely stunned. Wow! These LED's are awesome!
I had to remove the modulator for health reasons.
Incredible!! Very Bright!
These bulbs are nothing short of amazing! I replaced all of the standard bulbs on my Vespa S150ie scooter with these LEDs. This particular bulb was for the brake light and it is much brighter than the stock bulb and the response time is much faster also. Plus, these use much less power.
Also, they are correct about using the same LED emitter color as the lens. This does make a HUGE difference! I tried using a cool white bulb that was rated as twice the lumens as this type and it appeared much less bright as using this one in RED.
I highly recommend these bulbs and this company as well.
Quick fix for Mopar 1967 dim tail lights problem
Switched to LED tail lights due to low alternator output at idle (common problem with 1960s Mopars using original style alternator and voltage regulator). Chose a red LED, bought a flahser CF13GL-02 (chose that one because it makes a signal noise - see my review) and the whole thing took 5-10 minutes to replace. Results are terrific. Brighter tail lights, brighter brake lights, and brighter turn signal at idle and deceleration. Easily noticeable difference even during daylight. Don't get anything less than the 45 LED unit for tail lights. It's up there in cost, but worth it and should last. Much easier than upgrading under hood wiring for a newer model alternator. And keeps everything stock appearance.
These things are great
Forget the cheap crap out there. Get these . They are the only ones that actually are brighter than the standard incandescent they replace . These are also the only units I have found with an obvious and noticeable difference between the dimmer marker/taillight circuit and the turn signal circuit . The latter giving me confidence my signals are seen .
At the same time they save power and stay cool . (All bonuses for my motorcycle) Remember to use an appropriate flasher unit with these to prevent hyper flashing . Don't use a resistor to trick your current flasher as then you have defeated some of the purposes .
Awesome bulbs in my motorcycle tail/brake light
I'm running two of these in my Ninja tail/brake light. They are equally as bright as the 2 incandescent 1157 bulbs they are replacing.
Here's a confession:
I was a bit put off by the price tag of these, especially considering I was going to need two of them. I wanted to get the wattage usage down on the bike and these would do the trick...but the price...uhg.
I looked on Ebay (yeah I know) and found what appeared to be nearly the same bulb for 11 bucks a pair, shipped to my door. What's more, the Ebay ones are 53 SMD led's, instead of 45. More is better right?
So the old saying is true in the case...you do get what you pay for. The Ebay ones look like the same build quality but their illumination when braking was barely the brightness of these while in the 'running' mode.
In a side by side comparison, led on the left and incandescent on the right, these are EASILY the same brightness.
Get them, you won't be sorry.
