Perfect fit for RV Range Hood Light
My 2015 RV came all LED except for the light in the range hood. I wasn't sad when the original burned out in only 18 months. I searched the web for an LED replacement and ended up at superbrightleds.com...just like two other times I did general web searches (LED lights for a 10 x 10 pop-up canopy, and motion-detecting LED closet lights for the RV) and ended up here. Next time I'll just start here!
There was very little room for the bulb in the range hood and this flat disc LED bulbs takes about as much room as the original automobile bulb, puts out noticeably more light, and directs it to where it is needed instead of lighting up 360 degrees with 180 degrees wasted. I definitely recommend it!
Good retrofit under cabinets.
I used these to replace 18 watt halogens under cabinets powered by a transformer on a dimmer circuit. The transformer purchased elsewhere to closely match the wattage requirements of these led's works well so far, dimming them proportionately with line voltage led's on the same circuit. The Lutron dimmer is one recommended for led's and cfl's and not for transformers, but so far works well with the combined load, with the low voltage power supply closely matching its load. The light output from these bulbs is slightly less even compared to the original halogens in reflector pucks but satisfactory and works well in the same fixtures when the receptacle is pried open slightly to accommodate the slightly thicker wedge base on these bulbs.
Bright, good color, low power - nearly perfect
The color is not too blue and not too yellow - bright but pleasing at night. The only issue is that the components are exposed on the back. I had a receptacle with a shiny metal backing - worked fine for sealed incandescent bulbs, but, shorted out my LED bulb - nothing a little electrical tape couldn't fix.
Bright and fits snug on some T10 bases
Once I powered these on in the trunk on my 2016 Honda Fit, they were bright and lit up the entire trunk area. Way better than traditional bulbs. Also not that the base is a little bigger so if you can't get it in don't force it. Had trouble putting the 2nd one on the map lights in the back so I just used standard T10 LEDs I also ordered for the license plates and domes.
