Product Information
- Your vehicle may require an LED compatible Flasher or Load Resistor. LED brake/tail lamps will not flash with most stock flasher units due to their extremely low current draw. Try our Vehicle LED Bulb Finder to find a compatible flasher for your vehicle. Please See More LED Car Bulb Notes
- For best results the LED color should be the same as the lens color. If bulb is behind a clear lens, use the appropriate color for turn and brake light functions. Please See More LED Car Bulb Notes
- If your daytime running light application serves multiple purposes, this bulb will most likely not work for your vehicle.
- To protect LEDs in marine applications, it is advisable to use a 12 VDC line conditioner to compensate for voltage irregularities common in marine low-voltage systems.
Product Description
LED replacement bulbs can fit numerous boat and RV applications such as navigation lights, cabin lights, dome lights, tail lights, brake lights, reverse lights, turn signals or side marker lights. This 7443 dual-contact, dual-function bulb has 36 LEDs (3014 SMD) that create a 360° viewing angle. Produces up to 270 lumens at 5700K and 2900K. The LED is enclosed in a stock bulb cover for a traditional look. Tower-style design with a 16-mm wedge base for easy plug-and-play installation. The energy-efficient bulb has 12V DC operation and is designed to last 30,000 hours on your motorhome or boat—25 times longer than incandescents. Available in cool white, warm white, amber, and red. Not sold in pairs. Price per bulb.

All specifications are subject to change without notice. 1. CAN Bus LED bulbs are simple plug-and- play LED bulbs which are made specifically for CAN Bus-equipped vehicles. These bulbs work with your vehicle's advanced computer system, so when your vehicle's computer reads them, they respond back correctly. To see if your vehicle operates with a CAN Bus system, simply remove the bulb you're looking to replace, start your vehicle, and if you have a "Bulb Out" message on your dash you have a CAN Bus system. |
Part NO | CCT / Wavelength CCT / Wavelength ![]() | Polarity Sensitive | Brightness Brightness For best results, the LED color should be the same as the lens color. If the bulb is behind a clear lens, use the appropriate color for turn and brake light functions. When installed in a housing that has a matching colored lens, red and amber bulbs will appear brighter than white LED bulbs - even though they have lower lumen outputs. As an example: a red lens will filter out all but the red portion of light from a bulb, so if the light being emitted from the bulb is all red, none or very little light will be blocked by the lens. The light from a white LED bulb contains very little light in the red portion of the visible spectrum, so most of the light that contributes to its higher lumen value would be filtered out by a red lens. This makes the white bulb appear dimmer than the red bulb. ![]() | Beam Angle Beam Angle Beam angle is used to express the width of the light emitting from the source. The narrower the beam angle the more focused the light energy is. Comparing two 40 watt lights one with a beam angle of 30(a) and another with a beam angle of 90(b), They both produce the same amount of light output but (a) will appear brighter in the beam angle compared to (b) at the sacrifice of light spread. ![]() | Current Draw @ Operating Voltage Current Draw @ Operating Voltage Current Draw is used to size fuses and wire for a circuit. Current draw is the amount of energy consumed by an LED or LEDs in an electrical circuit at a specific voltage, measured in amps (A) or milliamps (mA). | Price Ea. | Weight | Operating Temperature | |

Lumen meters are a great way to measure white light output but can be deceptive for colored bulb intensity. Lumens measure light wavelengths in all colors of the visible spectrum. Because multiple wavelengths create white light and colored bulbs are a single-wavelength source, colored bulbs will have lower lumen readings. However, they will appear equally as bright as a white bulb. | ![]() |

works
The light works and bright, but it doesn't fit Acura TSX 2006 tail break light socket. It is too fat. It broke the socket when pushing it in.

Wilson,
Thanks for sending the review. I am sorry about the fitment issue. When ever using one of our bulbs that is listed as "Over Sized" in it's description there are applications it will not work in. We don't ever recommend trying to force a bulb into place. If it doesn't fit we have 30 day window that allows for replacement or refund for any reason.

Not that great for my brake light application.
I wouldn't say these are bad LED bulbs. First issue was the size of the glass dome that is fitted over the led tower itself which is large and doesn't serve much of a purpose. I had to modify the tail light socket hole in order to get them to fit. Second issue is the 3014 smd LED's used even though there are 36 of them are small and don't put out enough of an intense brightness to fill larger compartment brake light housings. I learned from doing research on different size Led types that this type of LED emits the lowest amount of lumens compared to other size led's listed on the chart. You can tell when these light up when hitting the brake. My issue was the light was more focused where the bulb was and wasn't enough to evenly spread across the whole compartment. However I am using this same style bulb in the 7440 size for my turn signals (Amber) and reverse lights (cool white) and they work fine when fitted into a smaller housing. I ordered 7443-R27-T: Red to replace my brake lights

Glass breaks easily
Didn't fit the socket where the bulb goes in the brake light assembly, the glass actually ended up breaking but that's not a big deal since its easily removable and held on with light glue.
I had to do some filing on the socket to get it to fit. Normal bulbs were 18-19mm diameter and I didn't realize this was 22mm.
Still not sure if the dual function works or not, hard to tell when no one else is there to push the brake pedal for you.

Picture compared to halogen bulb is misleading
This bulb (and its equivalently-sized 7440 cousin) don't fit in a 2014 Mazda 3 in any of the locations where the site says it'll fit. These bulbs are about 5-7mm wider than the stock halogen 7443 and 7440, making them impossible to fit in a socket where the halogen bulbs barely clear the opening in the first place. The picture on this site makes the two bulbs look much closer together in width than they are in reality. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars and not 1 is that these bulbs do produce a bright, vibrant light in any color you choose. They're good bulbs, but don't make the same mistake I did and base your purchase decision on pictures alone

Bright
Definitely bright.. Im using then for the front turn signals in a 2011 Mazda 3. The dual function is great, very differentiable between parking and signal. I did have the same fitment issues everyone else is talking about as even the base for the bulb itself is much wider than the hole for the bulb, but some very slight modifying and it fit in snugly. Overall i'm quite pleased.

Doesn't fit even though it says it will....
This doesn't fit my 2005 Toyota 4Runner at all! It said it would but it doesn't, the glass housing that encases the LEDs is too large to fit in the hole that you load the bulb into! As a result, I can't use them. Like another reviewer said, they had to modify the bulb housing. I would rather just try and remove/break the glass housing out from around the $10 bulb rather than modify my $80 brake light housing. Kind of bummed that it didn't fit but I may just have a solution if I can remove the glass from around the LEDs....

The Vehicle Bulb finder suggests a bulb based on the base type. However, we always suggest verifying the bulb will work in your vehicle by checking the measurements given in the dimensional drawings for each bulb on their web page.

not good
i bought these in red to use in my tail/brake lights. the problem is that there is almost no difference in brightness between the two modes. i had several people tell me they couldn't readily tell when i had stepped on my brakes.

For a brighter red LED bulb, we suggest the 7443 Dual Function 45 SMD LED Tower
