Overview

CAN Bus LED replacement bulbs can fit numerous RV applications such as map lights, vanity lights and footwell lights. This 4210 LED festoon bulb replaces a variety of traditional bulbs including 4210 and 6451 bulbs. The 42-mm bulb has 1 LED (Epistar SMD) on a rectangular PCB (printed circuit board). The LED produces 40 lumens at 5200K and is mounted to one side of the board for direct 130° illumination with no wasted light. Error-free LED bulbs are designed to communicate with your vehicle's CAN Bus computer system and prevent "bulb out" error messages. Festoon base for easy plug-and-play installation. The energy-efficient bulb operates within a wide 11-16V DC range and has an integrated aluminum heat sink. Lasts 30,000 hours on your motorhome—25 times longer than incandescents. Cool white color. Not sold in pairs. Price per bulb.

Important Notes - Please read before purchasing:
Notes
  1. CAN Bus bulbs should work with most cars that have computers that notify you if a light bulb is burned out. However, some vehicles still might have issues - due to the unique electrical systems in these types of vehicles. Please See More CAN Bus Bulb Notes
  2. To protect LEDs in marine applications, it is advisable to use a 12 VDC line conditioner to compensate for voltage irregularities common in marine low-voltage systems.

Too long (big) for vehicle housing

I ordered this bulb as a domelight replacement with hopes of "lighting up the interior" a bit more. Upon installing it and turning on the light, it blew a fuse. Further research finds that the heatsink (on the back side of the board) was touching both tabs in the cars housing, causing a short. Hence, blowing the fuse.
Although I don't want to re-engineer this replacement, it appears that a shorter heatsink on the back of the board would work fine. I've been tempted to try cutting it down (on each side of the heatsink) since it's currently worthless for my current application.

GMC 1500 CAN BUS system failure.

Don,t use any CANBUS from this site in a 2013 GMC they will shut down systems. Dash lights, bluetooth, 4x4, . The fault is really NOT this company or product except more research should be done. I work for GM in the electronics industry. These lights worked in a 2012 BMW just fine. I reinstalled all the factory lights and the truck has returned to normal.
