Makes a work van cab your office
The largest part of my days are spent in a Ford E250 work van. The guys at Ford saw fit to put two interior lights in the vehicle, each emitting about as much light as a birthday cake candle. Long ago, I had in installed two 1-meter strips from superbright in the back, and behind the partition it was better than daylight. Recently I decided to install this bar for the cab, as it was fitted with that same silly dome lamp and I couldn't see to read or find something I had dropped at night. It took me maybe an hour to get it installed and wired. That night, I tested it, and when I turned it on two aircraft veered off course 10,000 feet up. Kidding. The bar did a most excellent job of lighting up my cab. It is now daylight there, just like the back. You won't want to turn it on while moving..and you may even consider a dimmer for it, but for my application and my old eyes it's spot on. As a bonus, every LED light (this bar + 2 1-meter bars) pulls less current than one of the dome bulbs.
suprising
I had 2-30w fluorescent fixtures in my work van , for years
small screw sizes , and parts were visible , but not enough light , for reading . Put in 6 of these , WOW. aprox 45 w total , being in a row , I have light everywhere. Seems like , I have doubled , light output too.
