Under cabinet countertop lighting
We ordered 5 of these lights for our project (4 to install and 1 to keep on hand as a spare). Our FINISHED project was very satisfactory & we are pleased with the light output and ambiance. However, we did have problems with the product and had installation setbacks. First, the absence of wiring instructions for a polarity sensitive product and a template for the zero-tolerance cutout were disappointing. Next, TWO of the mounting clips flew off in the installation process. Re-attaching them was a frustrating bear! Picture 3 shows our workaround (nail) to help hold them in place. Finally, the bottom glass allows one to see up into the cut-out cavity because of a zero-tolerance cutout size. If the plastic escutcheon above the lower glass were extended outwards 1/8" or more this would help with the products' no-tolerance cutout. As a workaround we applied white tape around and to the upper side the glass so that it became opaque rather than clear see-through. Thank you.

Bright and aesthetically appealing
I installed eight of these in my kitchen to replace the old dual T12 fluorescent light fixture (you can see where it sat in the pictures). The results are amazing! The light spread is more even and it's about 150% brighter now. The current drivers mount easily on the studs above the ceiling with just a couple screws. If you're installing several like I did, I would recommend a buss bar to tap each light into. The quality of the fixtures is also very nice.
The only thing that should be improvised with these are the spring clips. The standard 1/2" sheet rock thickness is not thick enough for the clips so they fit very loosely. I fixed this problem by placing 1/4" spacers between the sheet rock and clips.
Other than that, I would recommend these to anyone with basic handyman skills looking for a modern upgrade.

Simple to install, very bright, looks fantastic
These fixtures are fantastic. They are bright and look great. I agree that some instructions would have been nice but they are fairly straight forward to figure out. The brown wire coming off the light fixture itself is the positive wire (+), which is an odd color choice if you ask me. That attached to the red wire on the transformer.
I found the cardboard that holds the fixture secure in its box, was a perfect template for cutting the hole in the ceiling. The other reviewer is correct that there little to no room for mistake in this step. I cut the side holes (for the spring clips) half the depth that was laid out in the template and it worked perfectly.
All that comes in the box is the light fixture, the transformer and what I call the cutout template. I suggest purchasing butt splices for the low voltage side of the wire connections. Plan out your wiring before hand as the wires that are on the fixture and transformer are quite short already.
Love these lights!

Great value
Great value. Placed over a kitchen sink and it was the right amount of light. Retrofit into an existing square recessed light. The bezel was too small for this existing recessed light but I knew this when ordering. I put the light on top of the old fixture's bezel and glass plate.

An excellent choice for ceiling-mounted lighting!
I ordered 8 of these and five are installed and working without a hitch. Their low power and long specified life make them ideal for solar powered applications such as our new barn. I mounted 3 of them in the ceiling of an 11'x13' workshop and it's like an operating room in there on a mere 36 watts! And the warm white spectrum is wonderful!
I would recommend these lights to anyone seeking comfortable and incredibly economical room illumination.
