2. Max Run (or maximum run) is used to specify the total number of strips that can run in series without experiencing dimming due to voltage drop. When Max Run is reached, power wires for additional devices must be 'home run' directly back to the power source, starting a new run.
|Part NO||Total Length||Emitting Color||CCT / Wavelength |
CCT is used to express the color or shade of white light. The Correlated Color Temperature is the measure of the color appearance of the light emitted from a light source, measured in degrees kelvin (K). The CCT rating is a general 'warmth' or 'coolness' measure of its appearance. Wavelength is used to express a specific color of light other than whites. Wavelength is the portion of the visible spectrum that the human eye can detect, between 380 and 700 nanometers (nm). When trying to match an existing bulb color choose a replacement that most closely matches the CCT or wavelength of the original.
|Intensity Per Foot||Intensity||Radiant Power||Beam Angle |
Beam angle is used to express the width of the light emitting from the source. The narrower the beam angle the more focused the light energy is. Comparing two 40 watt lights one with a beam angle of 30(a) and another with a beam angle of 90(b), They both produce the same amount of light output but (a) will appear brighter in the beam angle compared to (b) at the sacrifice of light spread.
|Current Draw @ Operating Voltage |
Current Draw is used to size fuses and wire for a circuit. Current draw is the amount of energy consumed by an LED or LEDs in an electrical circuit at a specific voltage, measured in amps (A) or milliamps (mA).

NameSam Brown, I am a solar technology promo
Very Bright Lights
I love these lights. The are very bright for 7 watts of power. And they are modular so you can cut them into different lengths. I brought 100 of these lights to an indigenous community in Peru that lives off 12 volts and they loved them. One lights a big room and a half of one lights a small room. I am planning on bringing more next trip. The community is Taquile Island Peru and it is probably the most intense use of solar energy in the indigenous world.The white light is best for true color and reading the amber light is softer more like candle light.
Meets my need!
First order from you guys and all that I ordered is great! - I will cut this to make 2 lights for what I do - so, even though it has a connector on both ends - which is good - the CPS power adapter I bought to use cannot be reversed to fit the opposite end as the + - are opposite on one end . .
any suggestions are welcome!!
You can still use the cps power cable on the other end by cutting it and connecting red to black and black to red ( splice them together or use wire nuts). This will reverse the connection and allow you to use those connectors on the opposite end.
Whew!!! They are bright!
I went with Sam Brown's review and got a couple in natural white. My work bench was lit up with florescent bulbs. It has been hard to see under them. With these strips I see a lot more detail. I think I just might get a couple more.
I ordered one of these to use as a reading light in a full size van, and the full strip is much more than even my 57 year old eyes require. I planned on sitting under it, but I could read 6 feet away if I wanted to. I ordered the cool white since that's the brightest, but natural or warm would still be more than I need. That the interior of the van is paneled in white makes a difference, but I'm going to trim at least 6 to 12 of the 30 LEDs off and find another use for them. That will give me plenty of light for about 3.5 watts of power consumption.
Bright and Easy
I used 2 side by side natural whites a few years ago for a curio cabinet. The point light sources and the full spectrum give crystal figurines extra sparkle and colors.
The red version also makes a great plant light for supplementing sunlight in a South-facing window or sun room @ 20W/square meter.
great for under-cabinet lighting
These strips are very effective for lighting areas under cabinets. After seeing the lights installed in my house, a friend and a family member asked me to install these strips in their houses. The only slight complaint that I have is that the light color for "Natural White" has changed since I ordered these a couple of years ago. The "Natural White" originally had more of a "daylight" appearance. The "Natural White" is now in between a daylight and soft white appearance.
