Great slim light bar
I bought this light bar to put in the bumper opening on my 2011 Silverado. I made my own brackets out of aluminum flat bar. This little light bar is pretty bright. I run 35watt 5k hids in my low beams and this light bar is a little brighter than those. I bought the flood version of this light bar to light up the edges of the road and in front of me. I use the light bar over my high beams. This is a great quality light bar. I've also had no issues with moisture getting behind the lens like you do with some cheaper light bars.
Bright and slim
The mounts are a bit soft and flexible, I bent one while torquing down the bolts on install. The rest of the unit is very sturdy looking and time will tell on the water proof level of the fixture itself. Very bright.
A few things that could be improved:
1. More length options. A 24 inch bar would have been better for my situation. Even the 7 inch bars I bought would have been better at 8 inches
2. The yellow color on the led when powered off. It makes the light look cheap to me and I don't like it. Wish it was clear or colorless.
3. These are designed for outdoor use so they should come standard with stainless steel hardware. They should also have nylon lined lock nuts since they will be vibrating a bit on the vehicles they get mounted on. I replaced all the factory hardware with my own stainless steel at a cost of $3-$4 per light
Response from Super Bright LEDs:
Took a roll and still worked !
Light bar worked great and the price is good but the real impressive thing was it's toughness I rolled my RZR and it was the 2nd thing to hit taking the whole weight of the RZR as it landed on the roof. It was about pushed through the aluminum roof! Flattened the mount but the bar didn't break and IT STILL WORKED !! the RZR was totaled but this little bar survived.
