Increase your safety and visibility with this HLV7 series H4 LED headlight bulb. The dual-beam bulb emits 2,000 lumens of cool white illumination and features 3rd generation cooling technology. It has an integrated heat sink instead of a short-lived fan or bulky braided heat sink. This allows for a longer-lasting bulb and easier installation in tight spaces. It also has an internal driver, which eliminates the need to mount an additional part and locate an appropriate mounting spot. The LED bulb lasts 13 times longer than halogen bulbs and 3 times longer than HID bulbs. Its LED array is designed to mimic the filament in halogen bulbs—creating a closely matched beam style. This CAN-Bus-compatible H4 bulb operates on 9-32 VDC.

Which way is up?

These lights work great, I'm very pleased with their construction and performance. HOWEVER, they ARE directional (when replacing H4 bulbs)- that is, they need to be oriented a certain way to throw light correctly within the headlight housing. As they come, they can either be inserted and tightened correctly, OR 180º off correct. Which throws some pretty interesting light patterns across the night, believe me! Though not difficult to re-insert, a guide showing correct orientation would be a valuable addition to the package- otherwise, initial positioning is just hit-or-miss.

Nice upgrade from stock

2007 toyota FJ Crusier:
Found out there is an up and down side to these bulbs. (instructions do not specify) Initially installed them and found the tree tops were in full color, stop at McDonald and 180 degree turn and we were back in business.

Super Bright!! Just what I needed for my VMax

Slowly replacing all my bulbs in my 2018 Yamaha Vmax. The headlight was first and was worth it. It's way brighter than the OEM halogens which at night is a huge deal on any bike. The lights on the forks are Clearwater. The blinkers are brighter but also blink faster but not a bad thing. Not sure on longevity of the bulb since it's cool outside right now. I'll know more by the end of summer. Hope that helps someone that owns a bike.

Wow! I'm impressed

I purchased this lamp set for my 2009 Suzuki V-Strom motorcycle. It has dual H4 headlamps. These are to replace the 3rd set of failed Speedmetal brand LED's which are fan cooled. The fan sections are out in the weather, which is why I think that they failed. They probably overheated when the fans locked up due to water intrusion.
These lamps were a perfect fit, installed easily, and look and work great. The beam locations are perfect in low and high beams. In fact, the high beam is a bit higher in position than the Speedmetal's were, and much better for me. Just as bright as the Speedmetal's. I like how the lamp body twist locks into the H4 base. This allowed me to install the base, put on my rubber boot, then install the lamp body. Should be water tight and sufficiently cooled.
As long as these last for an acceptable lifespan, I feel these are an incredibly cost effective solution for a motorcycle. The SM's were $50 ea. The color matches my X-brite Denali driving lights perfectly!

New life for an old horse

We ordered these for our 1971 Mustang (read: dingy old incandescent bulbs). WHAT A DIFFERENCE! They are super bright, shipped fast, simple to install, and look totally modern.

Note: I did have to modify the retaining clip hooks SLIGHTLY on the housing (not the bulbs). The bulb's plastic tabs are slightly thicker then the typical H4 metal tabs. Don't fret though, that was super easy. BTW, LEDs don't need metal tabs. They don't get hot, another advantage of going to LEDs.
