Overview
Increase your safety and visibility with this 9004 LED headlight kit. The dual-intensity LED headlight bulb emits 2,000 lumens of cool white illumination and features 3rd generation cooling technology. It has an integrated heat sink instead of a short-lived fan or bulky braided heat sink. This allows for a longer-lasting bulb and easier installation in tight spaces. It also has an internal driver, which eliminates the need to mount an additional part and locate an appropriate mounting spot. The compact bulb lasts 13 times longer than halogen bulbs and 3 times longer than HID bulbs. The bulb's LED array is designed to mimic the filament in halogen bulbs—creating a closely matched beam style. This headlight bulb has 2 rows of LEDs that are activated individually for high- or low-beam settings. Only 1 row of LEDs is in use at any given time, and intensity is the same for both sets. This waterproof, CAN Bus compatible bulb operates within a wide 9-32 VDC range. The long-lasting kit includes 1 LED headlight bulb and 1 adapter plug. Price per bulb.

Does Not Fit a 1995 Mitsubishi Montero
The product quality seemed top notch and I was anxious to get them installed. While my vehicle does in fact use a 9004 bulb, it also employs a separate locking ring to secure it, as the bulb itself does not twist into the socket, as on other vehicles. Because the heat sink does not separate from the bulb body on this model of LED bulb, I could not get the locking ring into place and had to return the bulbs. The order, technical support and return were all handled very well and I will order from SBL again. Looking forward to see if they come up with a 9004 I can use!
Bright
I bought them for my 1996 Dodge Ram 3500 and they fit really good but you need the original locking ring that came with the factory lenses and the locking ring on the new LED’s have to come off to put the original locking ring behind of it then the LED’s locking ring goes back on just like it came off. They are super bright expecially compared to stock Halogens. The high beams don’t reach out as far as the low beams but are wider. Super good product!
Steps if replacing older "H1" type
If you have an older "H1" type, which is held in place by a metal ring which is part of the housing.... You must remove the adjusting collar, which comes with the new LED, by loosening the set screw. Then put the metal ring which held in your old bulb over the new LED so that it slips down to the cooling vanes. Be sure to 1) put the metal ring in the same orientation as when you removed it and 2) Put the adjusting collar back the same way it was before you removed it. Then just slide them in and twist to lock. My vehicle, 1997 National RV motor home. Lights much whiter and brighter after install, have not yet taken them on the road.
