Overview
CAN Bus LED replacement bulbs can fit RV tail lights, reverse lights, or side marker lights. This single-contact 1156 bulb has 30 LEDs that create a 360° viewing angle for better, allover light emission with reduced hot spots. The error-free LED bulb is designed to communicate with your vehicle's CAN Bus computer system and prevent "bulb out" error messages. Tower-style design with a BA15S 15-mm bayonet base for easy plug-and-play installation—just twist to lock in place. The energy-efficient bulb operates within a 12-24 VDC range and is designed to last 25 times longer on your motorhome than incandescent bulbs. Available in cool white or red. Not sold in pairs. Bulbs have Plus and Minus (like batteries) and will only work when polarity is correct. If bulb does not work when installed, turn it around in the socket.

| Lumen meters are a great way to measure white light output but can be deceptive for colored bulb intensity. Lumens measure light wavelengths in all colors of the visible spectrum. Because multiple wavelengths create white light and colored bulbs are a single-wavelength source, colored bulbs will have lower lumen readings. However, they will appear equally as bright as a white bulb. |  |

Did not work as advertised
I ordered these (2) to upgrade my backup lights. The overview said these were CAN type so there would be no need for a load resistor. Alas that is not the case. My Mercedes C300 did not accept them. Now i am stuck having to use a resistor or not use them. They are nice and bright but modern computers didn’t like them. You would think that the auto manufacturers would add an option so you could tell the computer that you have switched to LED’s and the lower power draw was the new base line.

Not really CAN Bus compatible.
Color and brightness are exilent but made the car through bulb our errors. This light is not CAN Bus compatible.

NOT a retro-fit replacement
Bulb does not fit into socket. (The flange at the top edge of the metal base prevents the bulb from being inserted and twist-locked i place.
Listed as a replacement for 1156 as a backup and cornering illumination with filters selected for a 1990 Corvette, but it had to be returned.
As for the return procedure, it was very easy; seamless and efficient. Superbrightleds is till my #1 "goto" for LED bulbs!

Great Bulb but..
The LEDs are bright as stated but the CAN Bus resistors or such do not cancel the "light out" warning.
