LED replacement bulbs can fit numerous boat and RV applications such as navigation lights, cabin lights, dome lights, tail lights, brake lights, reverse lights, turn signals or side marker lights. This 1157 dual-contact, dual-function bulb has 18 LEDs (5050 SMD) that create a 360° viewing angle for better, allover light emission with reduced hot spots. Produces up to 140 lumens at 6000K. Tower-style design with a BAY15D 15-mm bayonet base for easy plug-and-play installation—just twist to lock in place. The energy-efficient bulb operates within a wide 10-30V DC range and is designed to last 30,000 hours on your motorhome or boat—25 times longer than incandescents. Available in cool white, amber and red. Not sold in pairs. Price per bulb.

Comparing Lumens Across Colors: Why Do Colored Bulbs Have Such Low Lumen Values

Lumen meters are a great way to measure white light output but can be deceptive for colored bulb intensity. Lumens measure light wavelengths in all colors of the visible spectrum. Because multiple wavelengths create white light and colored bulbs are a single-wavelength source, colored bulbs will have lower lumen readings. However, they will appear equally as bright as a white bulb.

The 1157 bulb is very popular. I wish there was a higher lumen LED for the same size as this bulb. The lumens on this is about the same as the incandescent. The only bonus was the lower current draw.

Good but not super bright...

Front turn signals in 2003 Honda Accord Sedan. They are not as bright as incandescent as they are a bit hard to see in sunlight. Not bad by any means, just not as bright. I'd go a step brighter next time. They will cause hyper flash if no resistors are added (or modification of flasher module).

Amber is hard to make bright due to the way the eye uses it. I would recommend the brightest bulb that fits the housing.
In amber this would be the brightest
