I purchased this light as an auxiliary light for my classic BMW mtc, to provide enhanced night visibility with low power use. This light is awesome. It is capable of providing enough light to serve as the primary lamp and there is no excessive load on the electrical system. I can and have driven with only this lamp on--it is well worth adding to any bike for additional lighting or for emergency stand-alone lighting in the event the main headlamp fails. I drive this bike every day and leave in the dark every morning--I feel much safer with this new lighting device!
Good quality
I got two of these for my dad's truck. The lights are great ,fit & finish on them is really good. I would have given them 5 stars but here is why I didn't. He got them friday afternoon, He couldn't wait to get off of work saturday to install them. Took parts of the truck off, rewired it and when he went to install the second light there was no hardware in the box. Sunday he made a bracket for it and all is good.
Response from Super Bright LEDs:
Bright and Waterproof
Two of these are installed on the topper on the backend facing down and to the rear. Don't know that I would drive them in the front, but very pleased with light output and no strain on the electrical system. I do have two old style incandescent bulbs on the sides and they get hot, and put out some good light but you can't beat LED's. These LED's worked when it was negative 49 degrees last winter, and they work in the heat as well. No complaints. To complement the inside of the topper, there are smd 5050's tape LED's installed on each side and in the side cargo compartments. Bright lights take up no space.
A must have addition to logging equipment
We use these lights on grapple skidders that see a pretty rough environment. They're money well spent to give much improved visibility and lifespan over halogen lights that come as original equipment on logging equipment. Wouldn't be without them in the woods as it's made our before and after daylight hours more productive due to much better visibility. Easy to install and they've stood up extremely well.
