Specifications
Lumen meters are a great way to measure white light output but can be deceptive for colored bulb intensity. Lumens measure light wavelengths in all colors of the visible spectrum. Because multiple wavelengths create white light and colored bulbs are a single-wavelength source, colored bulbs will have lower lumen readings. However, they will appear equally as bright as a white bulb. | ![]() |

Keep in Mind...
Installed these in the instrument panel of my 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport. Used blue LEDs as the panel has a light blue tint and used clear (white) incandescent bulbs. The blue LED color is much stronger, more colorful. However, overall illumination is uneven as there are "hot spots" on the display and areas with little illumination. The panel uses 8 bulbs but the beam from the original incandescent bulbs had much greater coverage than the 120 degree beam of these LEDs. Note: These bulbs must be installed in the proper orientation. Although there are 2 possible positions, only one will allow the bulb to properly power up. There was a white dot near one of the bulb terminals to indicate polarity. Not sure whether the dot indicated positive or negative but after determining which position was good for one bulb, all bulbs were installed similarly. I used an electrical tester on the panel itself to establish the polarity of each socket relative to the one that worked successfully.
Response from Super Bright LEDs:
Thanks for taking the time to write a review. In applications where where you need the light more evenly spread I would suggest using the 74-xHP3 bulb in your existing sockets or it can also be used in the T1.5 bulbs socket.
Awesome transformation!!
These little LED's pack a punch! Worked right away once I figured out what the polarity. Made the pale green of my dash lights become a vivid blue and transformed my gauge cluster into an easy to read and well lit display.
Also, they still dim like my old dash lights would for night driving/preference.
Excellent Blue
I used these on my WJ Dash turn indicators and Temp Control (except the buttons which they don't fit). I was amazed at how great they look and how bright they are. I would definitely recommend these. *they are much brighter than the stock bulbs so when you dim the dash, these are still quite bright at even the lowest setting.*
Amazingly Bright and Clean
I bought these LEDs for my 2002 GMC Yukon for indicators such as brights are on, cruise is on, and left/right turn signals. I am deeply impressed with how bright they are and how clean they look. Thank you Superbrightleds for giving me the perfect bulbs at an affordable price!!! I am one very satisfied customer!!!
