|Part NO||Number of LEDs in Unit||Total Length||Emitting Color||CCT / Wavelength |
CCT is used to express the color or shade of white light. The Correlated Color Temperature is the measure of the color appearance of the light emitted from a light source, measured in degrees kelvin (K). The CCT rating is a general 'warmth' or 'coolness' measure of its appearance. Wavelength is used to express a specific color of light other than whites. Wavelength is the portion of the visible spectrum that the human eye can detect, between 380 and 700 nanometers (nm). When trying to match an existing bulb color choose a replacement that most closely matches the CCT or wavelength of the original.
|Lumen Per Foot||Brightness||Beam Angle |
Beam angle is used to express the width of the light emitting from the source. The narrower the beam angle the more focused the light energy is. Comparing two 40 watt lights one with a beam angle of 30(a) and another with a beam angle of 90(b), They both produce the same amount of light output but (a) will appear brighter in the beam angle compared to (b) at the sacrifice of light spread.
|Power Consumption Per Foot @ 24 Volts DC||Max Run |
Max Run (or maximum run) is used to recommend the total number of devices that can run in succession without experiencing dimming due to excessive voltage drop in a series circuit (end to end). When Max Run is reached, power wires for additional devices must be 'home run' directly back to the power source, starting a new run.
|Current Draw @ 24 Volts DC |
Current Draw is used to size fuses and wire for a circuit. Current draw is the amount of energy consumed by an LED or LEDs in an electrical circuit at a specific voltage, measured in amps (A) or milliamps (mA).

Avoid these lights. Poor quality connectors
I am extremely dissapointed with the quality of the the connectors for these lights. The little 3 prong jumpers and power wires are difficult to insert and break off easily inside the light fixture leaving you with a unusable light (that is not re-fundable through this website because they tell you "it is my fault due to the instalation"). Seriously, one of these broke within the first minute of me hooking them up, and since then I have installed the rest of the $6,000 worth that I bought (so I have had plenty of experience now) and I AM ALWAYS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THESE REDICULOUS CONNECTORS.
Those are covered by warranty and we will gladly replace them for you. We apologize for any inconvenience this caused and we will make sure that all of our support people are aware that all of our connectors and Light Bars are covered under warranty for this problem.
The video below demonstrates how to properly insert the 3 pin connectors:
LED strip lights are a work in progress...
Okay, so I know LED lights are relatively new...the good points are the lights are bright and a beautiful white color (not like the old yellow incandescent bulbs and non-daylight CFLs). The light bars are very thin and don't show under the cabinets at all and you can connect several in a row with a small cord.
The downsides are that the pin connections are a bit tricky to attach and don't feel very stable even when connected and my biggest issue is that the wall switch doesn't turn the lights back on when using a dimmer. I called technical support and he confirmed that you have to reach under the cabinet to tap the dimmer switch to get the light back on. The wall switch will turn the light OFF but not ON.
Awesome lighting from a 3-foot strip
This 3-foot strip was my first purchase from SuperBrightLEDs.com to use in my clock repair workshop, and I'm extremely happy with it. When I first plugged it in I was struck by how much the light resembled the warm glow of a standard incandescent bulb, and also how BRIGHT it is! I actually use TWO 3-foot-long LED strips, parallel to each other, in a rather difficult-to-illuminate spot: the workbench I need to light has storage cabinets on the wall right above it. The other LED strip is "Normal" color, so I actually have one "Warm White" and one "Normal". I have not decided which I like better, but for my purposes I don't think it makes much difference.
Great product + good price + fast shipping = good value. I'll be back!
Love the lights
I've installed these as under the counter lights in a kitchen. The light bars are awesome! Light quality and brightness is excellent and the build of the LEDs is excellent. My only complaint is the 3 pin system that the power plugs into. It is a little flimsy and I did break a power adapter. But once they are installed it really doesn't matter how flimsy the power prongs are (I don't plan on ever removing them). Excellent product! I love superbrightled!
Excellent LED under cabinet lights.
These are really bright! They reflect off every thing with the individual lights and look great. It's a great effect. I'm ordering more for the cabinets next to the stove. I don't care much for the cable connectors, that's a real weak spot. I had to install clips to keep the cables from moving at all. It seems like the cable has changed a little since I ordered my original, hopefully they fit better.
Anyway, they are superbright and super dependable I've had these for four years now with no trouble.
Great lights, versatile, great for hacking/making
These lights were purchased as an add-on to my aquarium lights. The angular aluminum casing allowed for some very easy mounting to existing lights (using zip ties). The connectors, while a bit finnicky, are also easy to hack for different configurations. The presence of clips on only one side of the connector makes them prone to slip out of the light bar with any lateral pressure, though this isn't an issue with a static mount. Looks like a redesign of the entire aluminum case might be needed for a more secure connector. The case for the connector stuck out too far from my lights to fit under the aquarium cover, which is where the luxbar shines for hacking. There is a right angle jumper that rests more flush, but not long enough for my application. I was able to easily open the connector case of my existing connector, change the length of the wire and resolder to connecters, cut the cases at angle and reconnect using super glue and Sugru. Result: a perfect fit for my aquarium!
Under Cabinet light bar
I purchased this also with the brackets, dimmer and extra cables. The light is very easy to mount. I put this on the front edge of the underside of the cabinet to direct the light in the areas that would serve us the best. Prior to mounting I held the light in place in various spots and this worked the best for us. Our cabinet guy recommended a different supplier but was impressed with this. I felt that the interior model was adequate for our under cabinet usage.
These LED Bars are Awsome
I ordered three 30cm and one 60cm for under our kitchen cabinets. Yes the connectors can be a little tricky to plug in, just take your time making sure the three pins are lined up and you'll have no problem. The hole install took about an hour that included drilling holes to run and conceal wires. I used the LBFA-DT dimmer with the lights and the whole thing works perfect. The dimmer is under the end cabinet so you cant see it just reach under and tap it to turn them on and lightly touch and hold your finger on it to dim them. Shipping was fast too. I ordered them Wed. night, Thurs they were shipped and Sat I received them.
Great under cabinet light.
I've had these lights in my kitchen since 2011 with no real issues. Installation is a bit tricky with the finicky connectors, but once plugged in they work fine, just make sure to tuck everything out of the way to avoid disturbing the wires. To date, not a single burned out LED emitter on 7 ft. of lights.
Two years ago I converted these to run on solar power and that has worked perfect. I have a video review of these light bars and the solar conversion on YouTube.
