LED dimmable linear strip light fixtures are a perfect lighting solution for many residential and commercial applications. Possible applications include work bench lighting, shops, garages, restrooms, kitchens, hallways and utility rooms. The 4' low-bay LED light consumes just 40 watts of power and emits 5,200 lumens of natural white illumination—equivalent to the output of approximately 2 32-watt fluorescent T8 tubes. And with a life expectancy of 50,000 hours—5 times as long as fluorescent fixtures—the linear strip light fixture reduces costly repairs, disposal fees and the need for replacements.

Excellent Lights with Minor Drawbacks

These fixtures are BRIGHT. Just 2 in my 450sqft garage lit it up better than 4 fluorescent fixtures did. I would give them 5 stars based on performance alone, but there are some important drawbacks that give me reason to knock a star off. Still highly recommended.

> Brackets don't feel secure enough out of the box. Bending them slightly improved this, however
> Fixtures come with a convenient removable plate on top , as well as knockouts that can be opened for running wiring. However you need to disasseble the whole fixture to access the inside of the knockouts to connect the wiring.
> While these are dimmable, you have to run a separate Romex line or something with 5 wires to do this. They cannot be dimmed from the main 120v feed per SBL customer support.
> Plan to add another 1/2" to the total height of the fixture if using the 2 snap-in brackets. This isn't called out in the dimensional drawing and could cause issues if clearances are tight (ex. garage door)

Ridiculous amount of light

Installed in a 16' x 60' enclosed shed with a 10' ceiling, 6 lights total. Ridiculous amount of light, but well used when backing a large trailer into the shed at night. The only fault I can find with the fixtures is the mounting brackets. They would work great if one were only mounting the lights inline on a joist. If you intend to mount them across joists as I did then you will need to get creative with the brackets.

Great Garage Light

I installed two of these in my garage replacing two old florescent fixtures that did not give out enough light especially when cold. These lights are very bright, come on instantly and give a very clean look. Would recommend them in any work, shop, or garage environment

Basement Light Upgrade

Replaced an old T12 tube fixture with this. It was a nice refreshing upgrade!! This fixture produces adequate light for the area in my basement. The build quality appeared to be good as well. Overall I would highly recommend this product. With that said, here is one single reason why I couldn't reach 5 stars for this review:

The mounting brackets slip into divots on the side of the fixture at a fixed distance apart. This presents a challenge when mounting this light perpendicular to ceiling joists. It would be nice to see a future model where the mounting brackets slide on some type of channel guide. I got this light to mount the way I needed it by taking a hacksaw to one of the brackets and cutting off the section that fits into the casing divots (see my bracket modification in pictures). I drilled holes in the brackets and the fixture casing that line up with the holes I drilled in the brackets. This kept it up well and safe.
