This household LED spotlight bulb is perfect for track lighting, recessed lighting, desk lights, display case lighting, trade show lighting, or outdoor fixtures with weatherproof housings. The MR16 (GX5.3) bi-pin bulb has 12 cool-running COB (chips-on-board) LEDs with an output of up to 370 lumens. The multifaceted reflector evenly displays a narrow 38° or 60° spot beam pattern and eliminates the appearance of a sharp contrast between illuminated and non-illuminated surfaces. GX5.3 Bi-pin base for easy plug-and-play installation. The energy-efficient bulb uses only 5 watts of power; an incandescent bulb with comparable light output would consume 35-40 watts. This LED bulb has 12V AC/DC operation and is designed to last 30,000 hours—25 times longer than incandescent bulbs. Cool white color. Price per bulb.

Motorcycle Aux headlights

I am using them on my motorcycle as aux head lights mounted in weather tight enclosures that I designed and built. I don't have too many hours on the them yet but to this point I am very pleased with the light color and intensity . One major concern when adding lighting the motorcycles is the added load to to the electrical system, these lamps consume app. 5 watts each and have an output similar to 45 to 50 watt incandescent, these LED Lamps have a real advantage over traditional lamps and given the projected life the price is quite reasonable! I am now thinking of using them to supplement the backup lights on my snow plow truck. Another project!!

Saving $3.00 a week using 12 of these LED lights

We replaced twelve 50 Watt halogen lights with the MR16-CW5W-38 bulbs. Light output and color is identical to the halogen bulbs, with one tenth the power and heat of the Halogen bulbs. Energy savings is dramatic ... $3.00 a week, or $150.00 a year.

LED replacement bulbs

I recently acquired some old landscape lights that used MR-16 Halogen bulbs. I refurbished the old lights and replaced the Halogen with these MR16-CW5W-38 bulbs. I have only had them working for a few days at this point but thus far they seem to work great. The cool white at a higher degree of Kelvin, produces a White with an ever so slight blue hue to it. I personally like the whiter contrast with the other existing landscape light with a more yellow color. I am using them to illuminate 5 globed bottle brush trees across the back yard. The trees are trimmed in approx. a 7' dia. globe with the foliage beginning about 7' from the ground.

Crystal cabinet lighting

We are new to led lighting and were not certain which color was best for the built in display cabinet that I built earlier this year. We had the soft white version and wanted to see the difference the cool white would make.
Actually huge warm whites won out for this application but the cool whites are already ear marked for an upcoming winter project.

Cool white not for artwork

I ordered these bulbs to highlight artwork. Although these are a very bright light, the cool white washed out the colors. My mistake. I returned and reordered warm white.
