Very bright & well built light!
Light is made of aluminum except for the spike. LED color is cooler than standard incandescent “Malibu” pagoda style lights. This makes them good for walkways & steps where you need to see. The light is also higher so it covers about 3 foot area depending on vegetation.
The electrical connection is made by a plastic screw together piercing piece which is pretty rugged and makes good contact. Make sure you start the threads well or it will be very hard to turn. I still used pliers to get them tight for the last inch. Compared to the common push together connectors these are better. I think the value is good for these lights at $20 ea. I have had them installed for about 4 months now & like them.
Frustrating Flaw
The outdoor lamps that I purchased are great, I am happy with them. The wiring device not so much. The clamp device that is attached to the pigtail that leads to the lamp was very frustrating to use. It has two small (knives) that pierce the power cable when you tighten the clamp. At least in theory that is what is suppose to happen. It took me at least 3 or 4 tries to get it to work. The problem being the knives pierce the power cable in random locations, making it a crap shoot as to wether they both pierce each individual power wire.
