1. A unit of measurement for how effective a light source is in converting electrical energy to lumens of visible light.
2. LED manufacturer's wattage rating
3. Total product power consumption, measured in watts, including drive circuitry and controllers that make up the entire lamp.

|Beam Angle |
Beam angle is used to express the width of the light emitting from the source. The narrower the beam angle the more focused the light energy is. Comparing two 40 watt lights one with a beam angle of 30(a) and another with a beam angle of 90(b), They both produce the same amount of light output but (a) will appear brighter in the beam angle compared to (b) at the sacrifice of light spread.
Royal Blue is binned by radiometric power and peak wavelength rather than photometric lumens and dominate wavelength

Lights the way.
I wanted to find a solution to accidentally leaving my closet light on. This bulb helps me in that respect and it also turns on when I walk in front of it as it's intended purpose. The bulb puts out the perfect amount of light and the PIR sensor works great.
2 are better than 1!
I bought the first one of these back in November of 2012. It is installed in the breezeway of the duplex where I live. The light is actually controlled by my downstairs neighbor, but we need it to see when putting the key in to lock to door in the morning and evening, especially during winter. I don't see any cost savings since the bill is on my neighbor, but there is so much benefit! I had them tape off the light in the "on" position and it has been running great for over 2 years now. I bought a second one a couple months later as a Fathers Day gift for my dad. It is installed in the garage in a shop light. Both my parents love it! One note is that if it is too bright in ambient lighting it will not come on, this could be annoying depending on the space it is installed in but overall is not a problem.
Old house with a closet light...
Installed this light in a closet under the stairs of our very old house on our first floor. No wall switch, and the pull cord fixture was irritating. Installed the light, and it works excellent. The sensor along with the immediacy of the LED light makes one think that the light is on all the time, but the bottom of the door has a pretty wide gap underneath to check this. I don't know how long the light stays on after we close the door, but it isn't for very long after we shut the door.
