Overview
With both red and white LEDs contained in the same fixture, 5.5" Round LED Dome Light has a slide switch for easy color selection. Use the white light setting for maximum illumination or choose the red light for visibility without the glare.The low profile round fixture features a frosted polycarbonate lens and a water and corrosion resistant housing. Surface mounts using three screw holes and attached 16” power wires.

Good boating light for a sheltered area
I put two of these in a very sheltered area of the cabin top near the lower helm of our boat. The white light is very bright and one alone will light up the entire area (two is overkill for a 200 sq ft area). The red is not quite as bright and is great for night time running. My only concern is the quality. Although the body of the light is set in a rather rugged clear plastic base, the white snap on cover is a bit flimsy.
Interior light for sailboat
This fits the bill perfectly as a interior light for my sailboat in size, ease of use and performance. The ability to switch between red and white light is exactly what I needed. This fixture provides far more light (and better quality light) than the original fluorescent fixture and uses far less power...which is important.
The fixture is easy to install and comes with a good length of wiring. I removed the square cover on the back to provide a bit more clearance for the wiring connection. I examined the circuit board and found all connections and joints covered with clear sealant, so there's no doubt that this will perform reliably in humid environments. I also appreciate that it comes with a great 3-year warranty; a rarity for lighting fixtures.
