Lumen meters are a great way to measure white light output but can be deceptive for colored bulb intensity. Lumens measure light wavelengths in all colors of the visible spectrum. Because multiple wavelengths create white light and colored bulbs are a single-wavelength source, colored bulbs will have lower lumen readings. However, they will appear equally as bright as a white bulb. | ![]() |

Motorcycle Speedo So Much Brighter!!
Ordered online last Thursday....came in this afternoon's mail. I have a Yamaha V Star 1100 and the speedo so dim at night. Boy.....what a difference. Best $12 (incl shipping) I ever did to my bike. Wish I had done it years ago. First pix shows left side with stock bulb and right with LED. Second pix is both LED's. This was a 10 minute job beginning to end. Thanks Superbrightleds!
Absolute improvement!
I bought one of these lights to replace my glove box light which was a bit dim and the 74-WWHP3 made a huge improvement. I chose the "Warm White" version because I wanted to retain the OEM look of the glove box light, I just wanted it brighter. Not only is this about 2x the brightness (maybe a little bit more), but the "Warm White" (at ~3300K) is a perfect, slightly whiter, replacement for the OEM bulb (which I would guess was ~2700K). Perfect for my application/need and I would recommend these wholeheartedly if your goal is the same.
Very nice upgrade to factory dash lights in 05 TJ
Installed on 05 Jeep Wrangler TJ Unlimited. Install was super simple, took about 15 minutes. LED bulbs arrived fast and well packaged. The packaging has it printed right on it but I emphasize THESE ARE POLARIZED LIGHTS!. If you get an LED or two that don't light up, flip the light around and plug it back in! I needed 5 for my dash install and only got 2 the right direction the first time lol. Took an extra minute, flipped em, and they looked great! I was pleasantly surprised they work well with the factory dimming switch. Warning though, they will dim, but they are a bit brighter than factory bulbs. On "bright" they are a crisp bright light. I chose red LEDS for my install and I'm very impressed. One of the most cost effective Jeep mods ive done. I would STRONGLY recommend doing this mod, these LEDS, and SuperBrightLEDs.com.
Well worth the money!
I bought these to replace my cluster lights. 3 of the 5 were out when I bought the jeep a week ago. Took 5 bulbs to replace, I bought 6. I'm very impressed with how bright they are. I will definitely be buying from Super Bright LEDs again. It was well worth paying a little more for LED bulbs.
