P-STRB-1x18 Installation & Wiring Diagrams:
Step 1: Momentary Mode Switch with Power Supply Circuit
A Momentary Mode Switch and power supply must be wired before strobe lights can be connected and configured.
If your vehicle already has this system in place you can skip this step and begin wiring your strobe lights into the circuit. If your vehicle does not have this circuit already in place you will need to wire it as the first step to installing your strobe lights.

Step 2: Wire Functions and Master Vs. Sync Light Explanation

Wire Color: | Functionality |
---|---|
BLACK | Ground |
RED | Power in. |
WHITE | Selects mode for master or sets light head to sync mode. |
GREEN | Sends or receives sync signal. Connect from Master up to additional sync light. This forms a group, there can only be 1 master in each group. |
YELLOW | Momentary Mode Switch wire which should be connected on one end to the red power in wire, and the white master/sync mode wire on the other. |
The P-STRB-1x18 and other compatible strobe lights can be wired to synchronize strobe patterns across multiple lights.
The momentary mode switch is used to set the flash pattern of the strobe light. The momentary white wire on the first light of the series should be wired to the momentary mode switch which will make the first light the master.
The green sync wire from the master light should then be wired to the green sync wire of the next light in the series in order to make the second light a sync/slave light. The sync/slave light will then match the flash pattern of the master light.
The sync diagram (above right) illustrates a basic master sync wiring configuration between two strobe light. For multi-group strobe light configuration see the wiring diagrams below or consult the P-STRB-1x18 user manual.
Step 3: Multi-group, Chassis, or Battery Grounded Wiring Schematics
If you require more than two strobe lights or multiple strobe light groupings the following diagrams outline how to configure 2 or more strobe light across multiple flash pattern groupings in a chassis or battery grounding system.

A pleasant Surprise
I Upfit police vehicles. That means I transform stock cars, pickups and SUV's into police vehicles by adding all of the equipment. I have used a number of different brands of LED's over the years and I am always on the hunt for a better and cheaper "Mousetrap". I ordered just one of these to test and evaluate. To say that I am impressed is an understatement. The unit is bright, compact, and easy to install. I will be ordering more!
Need a waterproof version
It took me a few calls to figure out the wiring, tech support was very helpful. I sealed these with silicone before install, I've still got moisture in the lens. I don't really care about the moisture, as long as it doesn't burn out the LED's.
Lights are very bright, lots of modes. You can wire in lights including the wire for under $150. I ran 12 gauge, I think you can get by with 18, as I suspect current draw is minimal.
I elected to put 4 on the headache rack, 2 facing forward, 2 facing back, so I have elevated coverage front and rear.
I hope they hold up or SuperBright will warranty them if they have issues. I've always wanted a "light bar" but because I carry a ladder over the roof rack, I'd be beating it to death with a ladder. These are so compact they fit under the top bar so they are protected or covered by the bar.
I've recaulked @ install, to see if it stops the condensation issue.
