Great improvement for a Subaru Forester
These headlights were used in a 2014 Subaru Forester. Installation of the lights was easy and they fit correctly into the socket with a simple twist. The hardest part was fitting my hand into the tight space behind the headlight enclosure.
Tremendous improvement over stock lamps. After using S.B.LED's lights in my Chevrolet HHR for a year I knew these would provide the same results: improved field of vision, see farther & wider.
Works great, but connector is backwards.
2016 Mazda 3. They work great installed with the COBs being installed facing sideways in the housing. Appropriate brightness for low beam, nice straight cutoff in the factory projector, no notable glare.
The connector does clip into my factory harness. It has two tabs for retention on it, a low and a high one - when the correct one for my lighting harness is clipped in, it would be reverse polarity, and the bulb won't fire. Clipped in with the correct polarity, the harness isn't secure. A couple dabs of hot glue hold it in place, but that's obviously not ideal. Either an electrical circuit with "gates" or a full bridge rectifier (even though it's already DC) to allow it to work with either polarity, or an easily reversible connector would solve this problem for all applications.
Great Option
I bought these for my 2015 Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen TDI for the fog lights and they fit perfectly and the light output is amazing at night. They have the perfect color and no flickering or no need for load resistors. Will most certainly choose these again and recommend these.
