1. Max Run (or maximum run) is used to recommend the total number of devices that can run in succession without experiencing dimming due to excessive voltage drop in a series circuit (end to end). Beam angle is used to express the width of the light emitting from the source. The narrower the beam angle the more focused the light energy is. Comparing two 40 watt lights one with a beam angle of 30(a) and another with a beam angle of 90(b), They both produce the same amount of light output but (a) will appear brighter in the beam angle compared to (b) at the sacrifice of light spread.

We light our 7000 sq ft warehouse with this strip lighting. We love it. It has been a year now and zero maintenance has been done on any of it. As this was a new building with new equipment, it is hard to say on the cost savings of power but the assumption is there.
Downside, still waiting to see if the cost is offset by the maintenance.
I gave it 3 stars only due to the cost of the strips. performance is good.
Using these as cove lighting using a Diode Led dimmable power supply and Lutron MRF2-6ND-120 dimmer switches. Lots of light, and I mean LOTs. Even behind a cove and bouncing off a ceiling you don't need any other light sources. The dim on and dim off effect is very nice too (function of the Lutron).
Incredibly bright, beautiful light
I have a place with 14' ceilings and replaced 256 linear feet (2,400 watts) of awful florescent lighting with three of these strips (45 feet at about 420 watts total neglecting power supply and other losses). They hang on unistrut about three feet from the ceiling and point towards the ceiling for indirect lighting. Fantastic. Been flawlessly running for about a year now.
Excellent choice for high light density
I am making up panels for Broadcast TV lighting at sporting events. I am mounting a half strip of these lights on a panel with two 12v batteries inside in series for 24v to power the LEDs. Works great. The 4200K is compatible with most of the stadium/arena MUSCO lighting. The strips can be cut in shorter sections so I can make a horizontal bank of LEDs. Easy to solder power from one strip to the next. I added a dimmer to make the panel more versatile. The phone advice I received when I called in for my first order was fantastic. Great to talk to an american that speaks English and could understand my application and questions and give good advice based on knowledge of the entire product line.
Get Rid of Your Blinky, Noisey, Dim, Fluoresants!
Very nice retro-fit product for your fluoresant lights. I just left the old ballasts in the fixtures, since they were in a difficult spot to mess with. Cut the existing wires and reuse them, since you will need them to wire the new power supply ("driver") to AC and the LED strips.
Jewelry virtually jumps out of the showcase!!
This LED product is fantastic. I retrofitted five jewelry showcases with these new LED lights and now the jewelry looks great. The cases are much cooler than they were with the old halogen lights and my price tags don't turn dark due to the excess heat. I would HIGHLY recommend this product for showcases or under cabinet lighting. The installation was easy and I had no trouble soldering the wiring to the contact points on the light strip.
Great for the stage lighting ....
this is fantastic product. I am using it for the stage lighting designs as it draws very little power and stays cool. - great for cyc washes. I use regular construction grade alum. stud channels to mount them inside and focus the light as needed using the depth of the channel profile and fly them on the pipe using just aircraft cable - no motors, nothing!!!. I take one star off because even with a careful handling the LED seem to drop out individually and will not come back. Not sure why.
