Overview
Headlight LED load resistors prevent flickering and "bulb out" error messages. These 6 ohm 50-watt load resistors compensate for the low power draw of H4 LED bulbs so that they can communicate properly with your vehicle's computer system. They can also be used in conjunction with standard LED bulbs for compatibility in CAN Bus systems. The plug-and-play LED load resistors easily install in line with your vehicle's factory bulb sockets and your LED bulbs. Price per kit (2 LED load resistors).
Mount the resistor away from painted surfaces, plastic, or other components that may be damaged by the heat generated by the resistor.

Problem Solved!
Great build on these resistors with an aluminum body with the wires wrapped in high quality heat insulation. Installed on an 04 Tundra after fog lights quit working after an LED headlight retrofit. Some sort of a resistance issue I guess due to the low wattage draw of the LED compared to the OEM halogens. Fog light switch would activate high beams and blue high beam indicator went out when both LED bulbs are installed. Everything goes back to normal when passenger side LED is taken out and replaced back with halogens and this resistor(s), while only one was needed installed on the passenger side, solved all the problems previously encountered. Hoping this is a permanent fix and will see about longevity. Thank you superbrightleds.com!
Can't build these myself for this price
These units (load resistors) frequently are needed to make 'legacy' electrical equipment function properly with digital-age equipment. Primarily, current draw is the main issue. I have built custom loads for other people's cars and motorcycles and my own cost in parts and hardware was more than these are priced. Quality parts are used in Super Bright loads...MILspec 50W wirewound resistors, high temp wiring, a nice-sized aluminum box and fiberglass shielding over wires to the headlight plugs. These are a plug-n-play bargain. They each draw 20W of power, but where time is a savings, they're well worth the expense.
