Overview
LED replacement bulbs can fit vehicle tail lights, brake lights, reverse lights, turn signals or side marker lights. This 1142 dual-contact bulb has 12 LEDs (3014 SMD) that create a wide 360° viewing angle for better, allover light emission with reduced hot spots. The LEDs are enclosed in a stock bulb cover for a traditional look. BA15D 15-mm bayonet base for easy plug-and-play installation—just twist to lock in place. The energy-efficient bulb has 12V DC operation and is designed to last 30,000 hours on your car, truck, SUV, or van—25 times longer than incandescent bulbs. Available in cool and warm white, blue, green, amber and red.

Bulbs have Plus and Minus (like batteries) and will only work when polarity is correct. If bulb does not work when installed, turn it around in the socket.

| Lumen meters are a great way to measure white light output but can be deceptive for colored bulb intensity. Lumens measure light wavelengths in all colors of the visible spectrum. Because multiple wavelengths create white light and colored bulbs are a single-wavelength source, colored bulbs will have lower lumen readings. However, they will appear equally as bright as a white bulb. |  |

Marine application
I purchased 3 of these replacement bulbs to use for navigation/anchor lights on a boat. They provide a greater amount of light with much less power consumption which is a great factor for use as an anchor light. The shipment was fast and product performs well.
Good Quality, good price
Using these in a RV in a fixture over the dining table. Specifically wanted a warm vs the stark lighting that higher color temperature lamps produce. I did find my dimmer no longer worked: The lights stay on all the time and the dimmer slide does nothing. I replaced the dimmer with a double switch and wired it so the 2nd switch adds a 330 ohm 1-watt resistor, and the dimming it provides is just right.
