Installation Instructions, Dimmer & Power Supply Information
Pre-Test & Configure
Remove strip from reel and make connections to power supply and dimmer (see “Method 1” diagram). Briefly turn on strip using dimmer power button to ensure proper operation of the strip, power supply, dimmer, and remote.
Layout strip on counter below cabinets, hold strips up under cabinets to determine lengths of strip segments needed for your installation. See below for cutting instructions.
Connect all strip segments using appropriate length connectors, see “Connecting Strips” section and “General Diagram” for guides. Connect strip. Connect strip assembly to power supply to ensure all segments are connected properly, then remove power.
Ensure all installation surfaces are clean and dry.
Begin to remove strip’s backing while adhering to bottom front edge of cabinets for optimal illumination. Press firmly to secure strips to surface. Route strip interconnectors under cabinet seams, windows, and other spaces between cabinets. Attach dimmer and power supply to desired location using included foam tape.
Cut strips to appropriate length using scissors on lines indicated with scissor icon. Strip can only be cut on these lines, which are spaced every 3 LEDs.
- DO NOT connect LED strip directly to 120 VAC power. This kit requires a 12 VDC Adapter (included power supply) to be powered.
- DO NOT connect more than one 16.5’ section of light strips to the included power supply. Overloading the included power supply may cause overheating, shorting, and possibly fire.
- Be sure the power supply is not plugged into an outlet before connecting or disconnecting any of the kits components.
- DO NOT expose the light strip to direct or indirect moisture.
- Always observe proper polarity when connecting power and load.

CCT / Wavelength
|Intensity Per Foot||Intensity||Radiant Power||Beam Angle |
Beam angle is used to express the width of the light emitting from the source. The narrower the beam angle the more focused the light energy is. Comparing two 40 watt lights one with a beam angle of 30(a) and another with a beam angle of 90(b), They both produce the same amount of light output but (a) will appear brighter in the beam angle compared to (b) at the sacrifice of light spread.
|Current Draw @ Operating Voltage |
Current Draw @ Operating Voltage
Current Draw is used to size fuses and wire for a circuit. Current draw is the amount of energy consumed by an LED or LEDs in an electrical circuit at a specific voltage, measured in amps (A) or milliamps (mA).
|Power Consumption||Max Run |
Max Run (or maximum run) is used to specify the total number of strips that can run in series without experiencing dimming due to voltage drop. When Max Run is reached, power wires for additional devices must be 'home run' directly back to the power source, starting a new run.

Complete the Look
Installation was pretty straight forward. I hooked these up to a Z-Wave device outlet to come on at sunset with other lamps in the house. Makes a great cooking light when on full and an even better night / mood light when dimmed. Pick up some extra connectors and some wire just in case. I ended up drilling through the cabinets to hide the wire. It makes for a clean install. Also, I have power in the middle of this run, so I didn't see any issues with the dreaded voltage drop. Make sure you install the strips as close to the front of the cabinet as possible. I will be picking up a few more of these kits for other projects (closet lighting, safe lighting, inside cabinet lighting). They make battery adapters and have them for sale at superbrightleds, so no need to worry about running electric to power them. Great purchase, great product, great company!
Nice accent lighting
I purchased two sets of these lights for under-cabinet and above cabinet lighting. The natural light gives off a nice light and the dimmable feature makes it a very nice accent lighting for the kitchen. The light strip is easy to work with however the corner connectors take some time to get the connections. I had to to call technical support to find some tips to getting the connectors to work. It took longer than expected to get everything setup, but that included time to hide the wiring and give it a professional look. The hardest part was connecting the wires under the cabinet, between cabinets. I ended up drilling a small hole through the frames and then splicing the supplied connector to give more length between the sections. I would recommend this product and company. The technical support people were very helpful.
It's all good so far
I put them in about two weeks ago. Dimmer is in the cabinet above the microwave and the remote works fine. There were enough connectors in the kit for what I was doing. I piecemealed a kit for the motorcycle and those look good as well. Now it's down to longevity. I may add some fancy color changing ones at floor level and I'll buy them here as well.
I finally have my lights installed under some custom cabinets. Problem is they were working perfect when I opened the box and ran a test. The first thing to go when I tested them after installing half of then was the remote. That didn't bother me because I was gong to use the dimmer switch unit to turn them off and on. After I have them full installed under my work stations in the cabinets, the dimmer does not work. So I cant't turn them off or on without unplugging them. Other than that they work great. I just have to find a well constructed 12v switch somewhere.

TOP NOTCH LIGHTING
WE HAVE INSTALLED APPROXIMATELY 30 OF THESE KITS OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS IN BOTH THE NEW HOMES AND KITCHEN REMODEL PROJECTS WE DO. WE LOVE HOW EASY THE INSTALL PROCESS IS AND THE CLIENTS ARE BLOWN AWAY WITH THE LIGHTING. THE SERVICE, ON TIME DELIVERY AND RESPONSE TO ANY ISSUES IS UNSURPASSED.
Under Cabinet LED Lights
The is the second house now that I have installed these LEDS light strip kits and they are great. They work exactly as advertised and can get quite bright (bought the high intensity). The dimmer is great to readjust intensity for you preference. I installed with a wall 120Vac wall switch which turns off the power to the power supply. The dimmer retains the setting last used. Mounted remote dimmer with velcro inside one of the kitchen cabinets. Added a second dimmer and now have lights above the cabinets and below.
Received the kit very quick (actually, day after ordering) and customer service is great. Highly recommend the product and the company.
A partial solution with signifficant problems
The advantage this products has, it lets you cut an LED string to a desired length. The major disadvantage is...none of the "slip-on" style connectors work...so you cannot connect the strings after they have been cut. The only connector we could get to work was the style that has a locking bar. These were cut in half and used as 2 separate connectors to continue the string after it was cut. A good idea, they just need to come up with connectors that work.
Excellent Kit For The Money...
I priced out numerous kits for an under cabinet lighting application, and the kit I inevitably went with was the NFLSK-WW300-UC. The kit came with all of the necessary hardware and wiring to easily get the job done by any DIY homeowner. The quick connects work perfectly fine, but I chose to solder and hardwire the entire kit, which allowed me to have the perfect lengths of wire between led strips.
Pros: With the exception of having someone arrive packed with the kit to install is for me, I can actually say that everything has been carefully thought of when SBL designed this kit. It completely takes ALL of the guess work out of buying an LED kit. The instructions and videos are all clear and concise, and the fact that the kit comes with a dimmer with a wireless controller is awesome.
Cons: Honestly, I really can't think of any. If I have one complaint (which is more of a personal preference issue), it's that I wish the kit was offered in a color warmer than 3K.
