CCT is used to express the color or shade of white light. The Correlated Color Temperature is the measure of the color appearance of the light emitted from a light source, measured in degrees kelvin (K). The CCT rating is a general 'warmth' or 'coolness' measure of its appearance. Wavelength is used to express a specific color of light other than whites. Wavelength is the portion of the visible spectrum that the human eye can detect, between 380 and 700 nanometers (nm). When trying to match an existing bulb color choose a replacement that most closely matches the CCT or wavelength of the original.

Beam angle is used to express the width of the light emitting from the source. The narrower the beam angle the more focused the light energy is. Comparing two 40 watt lights one with a beam angle of 30(a) and another with a beam angle of 90(b), They both produce the same amount of light output but (a) will appear brighter in the beam angle compared to (b) at the sacrifice of light spread.

Complete the Look
Installation was pretty straight forward. I hooked these up to a Z-Wave device outlet to come on at sunset with other lamps in the house. Makes a great cooking light when on full and an even better night / mood light when dimmed. Pick up some extra connectors and some wire just in case. I ended up drilling through the cabinets to hide the wire. It makes for a clean install. Also, I have power in the middle of this run, so I didn't see any issues with the dreaded voltage drop. Make sure you install the strips as close to the front of the cabinet as possible. I will be picking up a few more of these kits for other projects (closet lighting, safe lighting, inside cabinet lighting). They make battery adapters and have them for sale at superbrightleds, so no need to worry about running electric to power them. Great purchase, great product, great company!
