Old fixture - new life!
I purchased these bulbs to replace halogen bulbs in a bathroom fixture. No disappointments here! Ample light and the color (4000K) is a bit whiter than the yellowish light produced by the halogen. The amount of heat (wasted energy) from the halogens was crazy! These LED's are a perfect replacement.
Hard to find bulbs
This was a very unusual shape bulb, so glad I found it in LED, to replace the super intense Halogen bulbs for the under counter lighting. Love being able to utilize this space now without all the excess treat. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 was because some of the bulbs flicker. Not sure if that is the bulb or my fixture, but I can live with it.
Strobe light effect when dimmed
This review is for the 2700K version. I installed the bulb for the overhead light in a Whirlpool microwave hood fan. It works great on the bright setting, but there is a definite flicker present when dimmed to the lower brightness. When I’m working under the lower brightness, there is a definite strobe effect for moving objects. It’s not as noticeable from a distance, but I’m thinking about switching back to halogen if I can’t find an equivalent bulb that dims properly.
