Indoor Strip Lights

Indoor LED strip lights provide customizable illumination for multiple interior applications, both residential and commercial. These strips come with various color options– single CCT, tunable CCT, single color, RGB, RGB+single CCT, RGB+tunable white, addressable RGB, and dim-to-warm. With lengths ranging from 16.4 ft (5m) to 131.2 ft (40m), and the ability to be cut to the needed length or connected together, indoor strip LED lights provide flexibility to suit a wide range of installations.

We offer COB (chip-on-board) strips that emit a continuous line of light without hotspots, ideal for use near granite countertops and other reflective surfaces or for direct lighting applications where the strip will be showing. Our side-emitting strips feature LED chips that illuminate the light from the side, instead of the traditional top-emitting style. Side-emitting strips are great for concealed installation under steps, cabinets, or other hard-to-reach areas.

Installation Tips

For easy installation, our flexible LED strip lights feature an adhesive backing. Make sure the surface you’re applying the strip to is clean, then peel off the backing and attach it to the desired area. To ensure the lights fit your application, you may need to cut strips or connect multiple strips. To cut the strips, you must cut on the designated cut points.

What Accessories Do I Need for Installation?

In order to properly install indoor LED strip lights, you must have the appropriate accessories and know how to use them. We’ve listed some of these below:

  • Power Supplies: Strip lights must be connected to a power supply. Each strip will have a max run, which indicates the length of the strip from the power supply before voltage drop occurs. Power supplies should match the strip’s voltage and have a wattage that is at least 20% greater than the wattage of the strip light to reduce the risk of voltage drop. You can use different wiring methods to extend past the max run.

  • Connectors: Our solderless connectors make it easy to change the direction of your strip, connect cut segments, move around obstacles, or add power wire to a cut segment of a strip.

  • Controllers and Dimmers: Controllers and dimmers aren’t always required, such as with single CCT strip lights, but are recommended for installation. Controllers are required for color-changing or tunable CCT strips to alter the color, brightness, set timers, and more. Controllers can connect to a remote, phone, or tablet, or as a standalone dimmer. Dimmer types include low-voltage, 0-10V, or phase dimmable (TRIAC) wall-mounted options.

  • Aluminum Channels: Attach strip lights to aluminum channels when installing strips to increase brightness and eliminate hot spots. These channels will also provide increased durability and act as a heat sink, reducing the strip’s temperature.

Note: Before purchasing any accessories, we recommend checking the suggested accessories on the product page to ensure they’re compatible with the strip.

Will I Be Able to Control My Indoor Strip Lights with My Smartphone?

Using the app, you can change the colors, adjust the brightness, set timers, add music rhythm, and more. Certain controllers also let you connect your lights to smart home setups, such as Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
