What is Drop Ceiling Lighting?
Drop ceiling lighting refers to fixtures installed in a secondary ceiling. This lighting style eases installation compared to conventional ceilings, with wires hidden above the tiles. LED drop ceiling lights replace traditional fixtures with their glare-free, improved light distribution. Drop ceilings are ideal for a variety of commercial and residential applications such as schools, conference centers, basements, and offices.

Panel Lights
LED panel lights are built for T-grid ceiling installations, with high energy efficiency and improved light quality making them a great fluorescent troffer lights replacement. Panel lights last 50,000-80,000 hours, significantly longer than fluorescents.

Troffer Lights
LED troffer lights feature LEDs down the middle of the fixture. The LEDs are diffused with a curved lens for evenly distributed light output with minimal glare. Pairing the fixture with a Keilton Bluetooth Sensor increases controllability with scheduling, dimming, and changing the CCT.

Recessed Downlights
Recessed LED downlights are compact light fixtures suitable for residential and commercial spaces. A 90+ Color Rendering Index (CRI) is ideal for environments where color perception is crucial, such as art galleries or retail stores. Downlights featuring low-glare reduce eye strain.

Flush Mount Lights
Flush mount lights are low-profile downlights that sit flat against the ceiling. These fixtures are available in a wide range of styles and diameters, including 5, 7, 9, 12, and 14 inches, making them ideal for both residential and commercial use. Dimmable and selectable CCT options are available for increased control.
Reasons to Switch to
LED Drop Ceiling Lights
- LEDs consume less energy than HID or fluorescent bulbs. Over time, LED usage greatly reduces the money wasted on electricity bills and product replacements, as LEDs last longer than traditional lighting technologies. Additionally, installing lights compatible with dimmers or motion sensors reduces electricity costs by decreasing or powering off the light when it’s not needed.
- Installing fixtures with Networked Lighting Controls (NLC) increases controllability through Bluetooth Mesh. These fixtures decrease electricity consumption through light scheduling, allowing your lights to turn on and off at set times to limit energy waste and dimming capabilities.
- They provide high-quality light output, without flicker, reducing eye strain.
- Most of our drop ceiling light fixtures are dimmable. However, the dimming type might vary, with the most common being 0-10V, Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM), and TRIAC dimming.
- LED drop lights with selectable CCT ensure you can switch between different color options before installation. CCTs ranging from 2700K-6500K are available. Panel lights and recessed downlights also have tunable CCT options, so you can change color temperatures after installation via remote or smartphone.

Can I Install Drop Ceiling Lights in My Home?
You can install drop ceiling lights in your home, and there are many benefits to doing so:
- Using grid frames as lighting for ceiling tiles or recessed troffer lights with LEDs distributed down the middle can provide a decorative or modern look to elevate your home.
- Use them in basements or home offices since their glare-free illumination ensures you won’t suffer eyestrain when trying to complete work or relax.
- These luminaires are inserted into the ceiling, generally saving space, making this preferred for locations with lower ceilings.
- The flexibility to move the tiles allow you to easily adjust the lighting if you want to rearrange the furniture or layout of your space.
Note: We recommend that drop ceiling lights be installed by an electrician in compliance with all electrical codes. Each of our products features user manuals with specific installation instructions.
