Parking Lot Lights

LED parking lot lights provide the needed light output for your property while being durable enough for environmental factors. Various mounting types are available, including adjustable arm, fixed arm, knuckle slipfitter, post top, trunnion mount, and yoke mount. Selectable CCT and wattage is available on certain products. Enhance your fixture with photocells to adjust the light output based on the available daylight.

Wall PacksWall Packs
Wall Packs

LED wall packs sit against a building’s exterior and deliver sufficient lighting along doorways, sidewalks, parking garages, etc. Our product selection features a wide array of styles, including, but not limited to, full cutoff, mini, standard, rotatable, and half-moon. Fixtures with selectable CCT and wattage are also available. Select one of the wall packs with an integrated photocell to adapt the light intensity based on the available natural light. The photocells can be bypassed.

Street LightsStreet Lights

Having the right LED street lights increases people’s safety, as it ensures the streets are adequately lit. Select the right IESNA light distribution based on the application. Type II is typically the most common distribution type for street lighting. Before purchasing, check with your local ordinances to learn if there are any regulations on street lighting. Our LED street lights hold a DLC Premium Listing, verifying they meet even higher energy efficiency and light quality standards.

Sports and Stadium LightingSports and Stadium Lighting
Sports and Stadium Lighting

With lumens ranging from 73,500 to 160,000, LED stadium and sports lights emit a powerful, intense light to guarantee both players and spectators have the best visibility possible. Our sports and stadium lights range in beam angles from 15°-60°, with 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, and 6x6 NEMA light distribution patterns. All of our stadium and sports lights are UL and DLC Certified, meaning they meet strict safety and energy-efficiency standards.

Dusk-to-Dawn Area LightsDusk-to-Dawn Area Lights
Dusk-to-Dawn Area Lights

LED dusk-to-dawn area lights are often installed in driveways, parking lots, on pole barns, or on utility poles. These fixtures feature photocells that power your lights on at dusk and off at dawn. Certain fixtures come with integrated photocells (but are bypassable) or can be purchased with a photocell to be installed. Selectable CCT and wattage are available. All dusk-to-dawn fixtures are backed with a 5-year warranty.

Flood LightsFlood Lights

Flood lights provide a wide beam output and can be used outside of residential and commercial buildings. Choose one of our products with tunable or selectable CCT or selectable wattage for a more flexible fixture. Mounting options include knuckle, knuckle slipfitter, and yoke bracket. We carry smart LED flood lights that can be controlled via RF remote, smartphone, or tablet with RGB + tunable white color-changing options.

Turtle-Friendly LightingTurtle-Friendly Lighting
Turtle-Friendly Lighting

Turtle-friendly lights emit a warm amber light with a wavelength of at least 560nm to protect wildlife. This color and wavelength ensure the light isn’t visible or disorienting to wildlife animals that use the dark sky to help them migrate, hunt, hatch eggs, and more. Cooler or blue-toned artificial lighting can disorient animals and put them in danger. Turtle-friendly LEDs are available for canopy lights, parking lot lights, bollard lights, sconces, strip lights, and wall packs. Fully cutoff fixtures or optional glare shields are available to ensure the light is only focused where needed.

Corn BulbsCorn Bulbs
Corn Bulbs

LED corn bulbs are an energy-efficient solution for upgrading existing parking lot lights, street lights, and wall packs. They get their name from the individual LED chips on the bulb placed in long rows, resembling an ear of corn. Corn bulbs provide a better light output and require less maintenance. Common base types include E26/E27 and E39/EX39. Selectable CCT and wattage are available. Our corn bulbs are backed by a 5-year warranty.

High Output Filament BulbsHigh Output Filament Bulbs
High Output Filament Bulbs

LED high output filament bulbs are a style of screw bulb that can replace bulbs in parking lot lights, street lights, and wall packs after bypassing the ballast. We carry warm, natural, and cool CCT options. The most common bases for high output LED filament bulbs are E26 and EX39. Our high output filament bulbs are backed by either a UL or ETL certification, indicating they have been tested and proven safe to install.

Area Lighting FAQs

What Are The Light Distribution Patterns?

The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) light distribution patterns are one of the most recognized classifications for outdoor lights. NEMA creates the standards based on the horizontal and vertical display of light. The higher the pattern number, the greater the light spreader, i.e., a NEMA 7 pattern will have a higher beam angle than a NEMA 3.

The Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) has its own classification system for light distribution patterns, based on the horizontal light spread. The classifications range from Type I to Type V, with Type I for smaller, narrow areas and Type V for larger, open spaces.

What Are The Different Styles of Outdoor Lighting?

We carry various outdoor lighting styles to provide a solution depending on your application. Install flood lights, dusk-to-dawn lights, and wall packs on residential or commercial properties. However, our parking lot and stadium lights are more equipped for larger commercial purposes.

Why Does Light Pollution Matter For Outdoor Area Lighting?

Installing outdoor lights without consideration for light pollution can negatively affect wildlife and humans. It affects animals' migration, hunting, and sleep patterns. Light pollution can affect people’s moods and even cause health issues.

To reduce light pollution:

  • Fixtures should emit only enough lumens for the necessary brightness to eliminate visual discomfort.
  • Have the best light distribution pattern for the application area.
  • Install fixtures with the proper spacing. Installing fixtures too close together will create excessive brightness and clutter, which is disorienting and unsafe for humans and wildlife.
  • Reduce uplight, or skyglow, which is when artificial light makes it difficult to see the night sky.
  • Direct your lights to illuminate only where needed to prevent light trespass into residential, commercial, and private properties.

For coastal areas or other locations near wildlife habitats that may have stricter local ordinances, we carry wildlife-friendly parking lot lights and wall packs that emit an amber color. Additionally, we have fully cutoff wall packs that reflect the light completely downwards to eliminate any uplight. You can also look for fixtures with a low BUG rating set to reduce light pollution and trespass.

How Much Do Outdoor Area Lights Cost? How Many Do I Need?

Area lights differ in cost based on the style and size of the fixture. We have a wide variety of area lights, ranging from general to niche applications, all with multiple output options for you to choose from.

Depending on the specific product and desired lumen intensity, the number of light fixtures you need will vary from application to application.

Why Are LED Lights Best For Area Lighting?

LEDs are a great solution for area lighting due to their energy efficiency. LEDs release less heat than traditional fixtures, making them a better choice for the environment and reducing electricity costs. Since these fixtures will be installed outdoors where weather conditions are unpredictable, they must be built to withstand the surrounding elements. LEDs are more durable than other lighting technologies and have longer lifespans, reducing the frequency of replacements.

Are LED Outdoor Lights Weatherproof?

Our LED area lights are IP65 rated, meaning they’re water-resistant. Area lighting fixtures with an IP66 rating are also available for additional water protection.
