These bulbs are denoted with a “G” followed by a number that refers to the bulb’s diameter in one-eighth of an inch or in millimeters. Globe bulbs are commonly used for foyer lights, kitchen lights, chandeliers, ornamental fixtures, bathrooms, and makeup vanities.
