*Bulb Color MUST EQUAL Lens Color unless Lens is Clear.Bulb Color MUST EQUAL Lens Color unless Lens is Clear.?

For Red or Amber Lens, the LED Bulb color must match the lens color. A red lens will filter out all but the red portion of the light so if the light is all red, none or very little light will be blocked by the lens. The light from a White LED contains very little light in the red portion of the visible spectrum so most of the light would be filtered out by a red lens.

+ See All Guidelines IMPORTANT NOTES AND GUIDELINES. PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:?
  1. Always compare the LED bulb you are purchasing with the current bulb you're replacing in your vehicle. Check the base, numerical designation, and dimensions to determine if the LED bulb is the proper replacement.
  2. For Red or Amber lens, the LED light color must match the lens color of that bulb's location.
  3. The same bulb may be listed under multiple locations. For instance, The same bulb might be used for both Tail Light and Stop Light Applications.
  4. If a bulb location appears multiple times in your results. Check the current bulb you're replacing to determine its numerical designation. If the number is not present, compare the bulb's base and dimensions with the listed LED bulbs
  5. Car manufacturers do not release instrument panel bulb information. It is important to check your vehicle's instrument panel bulb to confirm the LED replacement bulb is appropriate.
  6. Due to their extremely low current draw, LED brake/tail lamps will not flash with thermal flasher units or Hyper-Flash with some stock flasher units. These installations will require an electronic flasher unit or load resistor.
  7. LED bulbs may cause some newer vehicles to indicate a bulb is burnt out (because of their low power consumption). The only fix for this is to install Load Resistors across the bulbs that are being indicated as bad. Some vehicles will also disable the cruise control system if a brake light bulb is being indicated as bad, the installation of Load Resistors will also solve this problem.
  8. We always recommend the wider viewing angle (beam). Narrow viewing angles will light up a smaller but brighter area, like a flashlight.
  9. LED bulbs will dim with your dash light intensity control.
  10. This vehicle bulb finder is currently in beta. Replacement Information may be incorrect or the Bulb Finder may not work correctly for you. If this is the case, feel free to send us feedback using the button located on the left hand side of your window.

Electronic LED Flashers & Load Resistors
← Go Back
LED brake/tail lamps will not flash with thermal flasher units due to their extremely low current draw. Also, with stock flasher units, the turn signals may flash faster than normal (Hyper-Flash). These installations will require an electronic flasher unit, available below (for some vehicles) or at your auto parts store. Try to find flashers designed to work with LED bulbs, they will say "LED compatible". Often HEAVY DUTY flashers will also work with LED bulbs.

We offer some LED Flashers but we do not know which one (if any) will fit your vehicle. You will have to compare the pin-out of your flasher with the pin-outs of the flashers we offer, to see if we have a match, BEFORE you order one. Sorry but we do not have a flasher application list or the expertise to tell you which of our flashers will fit your vehicle.

Another fix is the installation of Load Resistors which are wired across (in parallel with) the turn signal bulbs to simulate the load of a standard filament bulb. One Load Resistor is required for each bulb.
